I always remember my dad's onions hung up in the garage in bunches, the tops tied together.

Mine hang up in MrY’s metal shed, jokingly known as The Anderson Shelter 

Even the grandchildren refer to it as the Anderson - in fact, the electrician who put lighting into the garden did too.

All gardeners seem to have these boards. Where do they get them all from?

We’ve got loads of them in Mr Bs garage .....or we will have til daughter and boyfriend hire a van to take them away 

My dad did, but I never saw him get them, they just appeared.

That’s what I thought ...but then he seemed to be putting them in rows

Probably putting in more than he needs and then he’ll pick out the runty ones and leave the healthy ones

We have a few left over from eldest son’s projects - TBF, they were projects he did for us
