We were lucky really although we played well for a crucial period in the 2nd half.

I never ever celebrate until the final whistle goes - seen too many gutless collapses recently.

Good luck with the rest of the season xxx

Looking forward to Wednesday Veggie?

Rumours around these parts that we've got another of your kids on loan, Ryo Miyaichi?

No  mate, at the moment I view each game with fear and loathing. We have been shite on a stick recently.

Ryo is an interesting character. I saw him play with a B team XI in a pre season friendly the season before last at Borehamwood where he (along with Wellington - another wonderkid) looked the business. He is incredibly fast (as fast as Theo I think) and has a good degree of accuracy on his balls in from wide areas and from acute angles.

Then he went away on loan and since he's been back I've seen him with the reserves 3 or 4 times and he didn't look great.  I think he was carrying a bit of an injury or an illness problem but he was ordinary to say the least and Neil Banfield (the reserve team coach) was really on his case for most of the match - which mistified us in the stands as he looked like he was trying hard, it just wasn't happening

If he is at full fitness then he will be a real asset to you. He has one of the best attitudes I've ever seen in a kid that age, super personality and commitment.

I see Allardyce's method at West Ham really is to just assemble his Bolton team from around 2005 if they're signing Vaz Te...

If we bring in Zaha I'll be delighted, but I think Palace will be holding out for something closer to Β£10m which would probably be too rich for the board. Can't blame them either, he just signed a 5 year contract last month.

I bookmarked a post of mine about a year ago regarding Torres and a year to the day he broke my heart I thought I'd reiterate it and say that the post was not bitter as I stated at the time but in fact what I truly believed.

Players refusing to pass to him is absolute bullshit.

Comp
Minutes on pitch
Shots on target
Shots off target
Total (excluding blocks)
Shooting accuracy (5)
Premier League
416
14.29
Champions League
201
10
80
Total
617

52.94

So, he has had 17 shots so obviously someone is passing to him. I scan the Chelsea forums and all I can see is people bending over backwards to make excuses for Torres, 'No one passes to him', well clearly someone is because he has had 17 shots. 'He is just back from injury' So is Carroll, 'He has to get used to playing with a new team' Darren Bent anyone? Suarez had to get used to a new league, so did Luiz, so did  Hernandez.

Fernando Torres is not the player he used to be and he never will be again, I don't know why everyone is so surprised, he hasn't  played well, he hasn't played well for 18 months or more now in 2236 minutes of PL football this year he has scored 9 goals.

I loved Torres, I was absolutley devastated when he left. I know what its like I continually made excuses for him, overlooked his poor play but in hindsight he is nothing but a sulky bitch who brings down the morale of the rest of the team. The difference between Liverpool's morale before and after Torres departure is unreal. I was devastated, then angry, then sad, but now I couldn't give a stuff about Torres i find his situation hilarious. We got the best out of him, sure he is going to score a goal or 2 for Chelsea, he may well score tomorrow night, but don't kid yourselves into thinking once he scores he won't be able to stop because Liverpool thought that after the Chelsea 2-0 game, he only scored 3 goals in the next 12 matches (then he moved to Chelsea making it 3 goals in 19 games)- not exactly setting the world alight. Torres was once a World class striker no doubt, now he isn't even the best striker at Chelsea.

Thats not bitter, its the truth, I am happier now with 2 players who want to play for the club than one who doesn't.

 truly believed.

You know, losing can be quite hard to take... but it's f-cking horrendous when you're playing the same tactics over and over again. It's like we've been "found out", stick a man on Silva and you've got the game in the bag. One shot on target with Nasri, Silva, Dzeko and Aguero It's unbelievable... and all City fans want to spout about is some agenda in refereeing. Mancini needs a plan B, it looks so predictable going forward at times.

Hi River Rock I'm glad to see you're no longer bitter and twisted as far as Torres is concerned. I was worried you might be on here a year later still slagging him off endlessly and obsessing over him 24/7. Oh wait..... you are.

Any more news yet on Man City doing a straight swap for one of the best strikers in the world (Tevez) for an absolute donkey (Carroll)? Last I heard City couldn't speak they were falling about the place laughing just wondered how things were progressing...

Dzeko seems to pop up with a few goals now and again, terrible first touch though. I haven't seen him much but he looks kind of clumsy to me. I wouldn't play him ahead of Tevez, Aguero or Balotelli in a million years though.

Someone suggested on BM earlier that we say "Bollox to it all... get Tevez back in" They were instantly shot down, must say I wouldn't object to the idea at all.

Problem with Dzeko is from what I hear... most of his goals at Wolfsburg came from crosses, he always had someone whipping the ball into him and we don't play to his style at all. Seems pointless signing a player if he doesn't suit the way you play... we don't have wingers, just fullbacks who occasionally get forward every now and then. But even then the only full back that can put in a decent cross is Kolarov, but have you seen him move?

Balotelli... certainly capable of doing great things, 20 years old aswell. Problem is he spends more time banned instead of being on the field and people are started to get abit fed up of it now.

Aguero, probably the biggest threat... most teams know that with Dzeko being stuck in the middle not being able to do what he does best, that Aguero is the only threat up front.

I have a  bit of a  soft spot for Arsenal. They have always entertained me. However in general I don't care very much for the top teams, especially the ones who constantly whine about being badly done to, whilst they occupy the top two spots. Apart from Arsenal, God forbid a  London team winning, and if it has to be a Lancashire team then let it be  United but only because I put my France winnings on 'em when they were such a good price.

Worst Norwich performance of the season tonight and one of the worst under Lambert.  The curse of Sky.  Outplayed in every area and they looked like they just didn't care for much of the match.  Hopefully, they'll get a good arse kicking tonight and will be much improved on Saturday for Bolton.  Play like that for the rest of the season and relegation's a certainty.

So, who do we think the new England captain should be?

I'd go with Joe Hart. I think it'd be a good move to go with someone on the younger side as a sign for the future, rather than having someone at the end of their career as captain for a couple of years. He's guaranteed to play whenever he's fit, because there aren't any other English keepers good enough to replace him.

Ferdinand shouldn't be anywhere near the squad... Nevermind being captain. Gerrard for me,  Lescott/Jagielka/Cahill/Jones at CB.... All four seem to be playing well. Then Richards and Baines full backs. Need Wilshere/Parker/Milner... Two of them sat in front. Concerned Wilshere is gonna turn into the next Owen Hargreaves though the way injuries are going with him. Only player who's been in the squad a long time I would have is Gerrard and play Bent on his own up front. Rooney is a petulant brat when things don't go well.

I don't see any possibility of you going into free-fall in the manner that Blackpool did over the second half of last season.

Sunderland have picked up something like 19 points from their last 9 PL matches under O'Neill - it just wasn't a good time for you to be playing them. Your form during January was outstanding winning 4 and drawing 1 in a sequence of results that including 3 away wins; albeit inclusive of cup games. A mid table finish imo...
