IMO, Farage left Clegg standing and won the debate.

As a Labour voter who tends to support the EU, Clegg made a total balls up of putting the case for EU membership.  Farage made some good points that Clegg could not rebuke.  Clegg's a vacuous waste of space who fancies himself as a media personality.

A debate where a half competent pro-EU politician should have held their own against Farage's hyperbole, was turned into a resounding victory for Ukip.

Clegg should really give up his day job!

I agree, I'm no fan of Farage but he does answer a question that's put to him.

Hi Cosmo, I like Ed.  I feel I'm in a minority but I don't care.

I see Ukip as more or less a continuation of the same self serving agenda to look after the rich as we've had since 1979.

nige might seem like a maverick and an outsider but he's anything but.  Son of a stinking rich city trader and a former city trader himself.  Nigel has the politics of his class, much like Cameron, Blair and Clegg.  The politics of looking after the monied elite while posturing in the position that seems most politically advantageous.

On the other hand, anything that assists in the destruction of the yellow Tories is OK with me!
My favourite bits were....
1. Farrago said that the white working male was now the underclass. Indeed! My grandfather worked on the roads in the thirties and forties and regarded himself as the aristocratic working class.
2, clegg highlighting one of Farrago's leaflets.

When dealing with mavericks you need a maverick. Step forward Ken Clark!
