Not happy with all that ‘team orders’ thing

But under the circumstances it was the right thing to do. If the boot had been on the foot and Valtieri was in the running for the championship Hami would've moved over

Quite right many teams have done it before but that doesn’t make it right IMO *shrugs...

but they all do it Moonie, if it had been Ferrari it still wouldn't be right or wrong...it's team racing

So what is the point in Bottas qualifying in pole position and in the lead in the race them being told to move over to let Hamilton through Dameee?

Because it's a team game

Bottas hasn't got any chance of winning the championship. Hami has

Because they will get the double, world championship and constructors and Bottas doesn't have a hope in hell of winning  It's always happened and many times drivers have moved over for Vettel when he won his titles. I honestly don't know what the fuss is about, it's happened time and time again and there is no way to stop teams using it to be honest. I can bet you Ferrari would have ordered Raikkonen to move over if he'd been in front of Vettel

What was controvertial here was not the letting Hamilton go ahead in the first place, but the not letting Bottas back ahead of Hamilton once they were both far enough ahead of Vettel for him not to be a threat.

1st and 2nd for the team is still 1st and 2nd, regardless of which driver was in which position.........and Hamilton's lead over Vettel was not really going to be significantly dented by being 2nd and 3rd instead of 1st and 3rd.

Bottas certainly thought they were going to switch back now that they were both well ahead of Vettel.

Bottas knew th situation before the race and said so himself...nothing controversial about it unless it Hamilton of course.

I can't see anything controversial in the same tactics any other team would have used..

I doubt that the 7 points difference would be enough to counter that 'anything'.

He's had all year to prove himself in one of the best cars on the track and done sweet FA, he's always going to be a wing man if he doesn't up his game. You surely can't blame Wolfe for wanting a bigger gap! Me personally if it had been Ferrari I would have expected the same and accepted it, that's how a team works.

Team thing I understand, by why then did Bottas think they were going to change back? If a re-swap wasn't part of the strategy plan then why the radio message saying they weren't re-swapping and that they'd talk later and explain? That (to me) sounds very much like a change of plan that HADN'T been part of the original discussion!
