Today I was shopping in John Lewis and saw an Eames armchair. Always liked the design and especially after seeing it on Frasier years ago.

 

I bent over and checked out the price.

 

 

How did they think that price up !?!?!

They repaired one this evening on the BBC Two show - The Repair Shop !!

I do catch it now and again. I was particularly interested in the Eames chair today. The new back was a different colour to the base, but he said this is a repair job, not conservation. But the two woods would blend over time when the sun bleaches it.
