Who me? I'm not sad. It's you that's whining on about threads, making yourself look selfish

I always kinda thought Rents and Sprooooot liked winding each other up.

well, doncha you two?

I actually don’t read any animosity in it ... it’s almost like brother and sister ... they are programmed to antagonise!

Oh jeez ... she will hate me for this

Money Supermarket adverts annoy me.  They're utter shit.

That stupid slaphead in hotpants, that stupid fat builder and a 'face off' between them.  Endlessly repeated.  Drives me nuts.

Now their shit theme is He man v Skeletor,  FFS, what are we? All 43 year old men who were into that cack cartoon series when we were 12?

Who are these companies targeting?

Halifax are current using Top Cat for mortgages!!

Surely the people wanting a mortgage won't even know who Top Cat was !!

That's a fair point.  Ok so first time buyers are getting older and they aren't the only customers for mortgages, but I doubt anyone under 35 gets the Top Cat and Flintstones thing.

Exactly

And the more any advert appears, it's actually counterproductive.

People get sick of having info forced at them.

I will never use MoneySupermarket

Hang on a minute !!!

I'm sure from memory, Top Cat is a bit of a spiv and has never held down a job, lives with a bunch of other spivs and constantly gets into silly bother with the local plod.

Therefore if The Halifax will lend to him should have no problem in securing that £450K I need for me self build bachelor pad.
