Well i am not a Freddie fan but having listened to the conversation i dont think he is any different to any young guy with parents, who claim "dole" money as a bit of pocket money, I didnt take his comments as patronising to people who have to live on this amount, infact he probably doesnt have a clue that some folk actually have to live on this amount! In this situation how many young guys do? There are many young folk living with their parents in council homes and dont even know the price of a pint of milk! So i dont think Freddie is any different in that respect. Plus as the convo was with David, i am sure he would have put him right if it had been offensive

Hi figtree Yes I have just watched it again and he was really trying to empathise with Dave I think and give them a common ground. He can be a bit clumsy in his conversation at times but there's no harm in him at all. If the remark had been offensive David would have been quick to pick up on it.

No one is outraged that Freddie was on the dole, people are just appalled that he thought it was just pocket money knowing fully well that some Families depend on that "pocket money" and have no family cushion to fall back on....
