Is it wise to take a professional con artist at face value?
Do you know something we don't? What makes him a professional con artist? What I see is a bloke who saw a route to BB with a completely cheesy religious drunk on God plan. Idiotic I agree, but I think his heart is in the right place. He's done nothing in there to suggest he's a bad person and it makes me laugh how they all nominate him for being fake when they're all 100 per cent fake anyway.

Earlier tonight, Shabby and Dave had a heart to heart in the Bathroom where they talked of nominations, not trusting other housemates and feeling lonely.

As the pair talked about missing their friends and their homes, they reflected on the people they were currently sharing their House with. 'I'm just tired of these people, Dave' sighed an exasperated Shabby.

'How do you think I feel?' questioned Dave, 'I don't want to hang around with sinners'.

To make his point Dave continued, telling Shabby of how earlier housemates were telling each other their 'most bad sexual experiences'. To Dave, this is completely different to his usual choice of subject matter and he said that sitting in the room at the time was one of the 'biggest tests' for him. 'It's a bigger challenge for me than it is for you' he stated.

The Minister explained to Shabby that he had 'nothing in common' with the housemates, but despite this 'I have to look at the people in here through the eyes of the Lord and see them in the image of God; beautiful'.

The Welshman went on to say how he would like to bring together Christians and non-Christians, adding that 'the people I was brought up with have nothing to do with people like them'. Dave said that this saddened him and 'that's why I wanted to come in here'.
Taken from the official C4 site - this was part of the conversation between Dave and Shabby last night. I got the impression that he was attempting to counter her unhappiness and lift her by getting the point across that it was far tougher for him in the house than it was for her. He was making a massive generalisation though in suggesting that Shabby had more in common with the housemates than he did.

This is what reallygets up my nose about Dave - he doesn't want to hang around with "sinners"?  The only difference between Christians and non-Christians is that Christians have been "forgiven".  They are still sinners.

Dave is not a god, even though he is a Christian, but he does think he is better than everyone else who is not a Christian.  He's not.

Dave really will have to have a re-think if he doesn't want to hang around with sinners.  If he is to emulate his Lord (and mine) then he will do as Jesus did which is hang around with sinners.  And Suzi I agree we are all sinners, the difference is Christians should know that they are sinners and need the redemption that Jesus provides.

It occurred to me that given he thinks homosexuality is a sin his efforts to muscle in between Ben and Mario are intended to prevent an "event".

He seems less bothered with Shabby - but then maybe he subscribes to the Queen Victoria school of thought on that score. Or maybe like a lot of blokes he does not find the idea as intimidating - maybe even vaguely titillating. **rolls eyes**

I am stunned he has said this about sinners. Are you not supposed to love the sinner not the sin. Also the lost sheep returning to the flock etc. It makes me think all the more that his is a big fake.
It depends which religion he subscribes to. They all twist and distort the bible to suit themselves or just go right ahead and write their own version of it. Just one of the 50 million reasons organised religion is a total farce.
