He's not so good - he's symptom-free in that he has not pain, no weight loss and is eating and sleeping well. However they cannot operate, is not well enough for chemo and so a delayed second course of radiotherapy has been offered in an attempt to minimise the growth of his cancer.

Nothing else can be offered at his age and state of health.

Well as long as he is pain free it's something I guess Renton

They're reassured the cancer has not spread from results of previous scans. However the last round of radiotherapy didn't work (in terms of reducing the cancer).

If the next round doesn't work then he has no further options but to live out the time he has left.

Son's FIL is in the same place Renton ......but hopefully the radiotherapy will work this time
