I suppose the point I am trying to make is that beauty is more than skin deep.
So I cannot find JJ good looking because I cannot see past his nasty beady eyes.
I therefore asked how anyone could find him good looking given that he is not a particularly nice person.
I also suppose that as someone who does not like the grubby look, again I was curious.

Never heard the expression beauty is in the eye of the beholder? Just because you find him attractive, doesn't mean WE have to.

That;s my point too Isadora, I would have to be attracted to someone's personality and JJ's is awful to me. Therefore we see people in a different light, he could be drop dead gorgeous (I don't find him to be) and I still wouldn't fancy him.

The most beautiful person to look at, i.e eyes, skin , hair , figure etc suddenly doesnt look so nice when they have a nasty personality. A severely facially disabled person can have such a beautiful face when they have a beautiful personality. But what do i know...

But we don't all agree he's not a nice person. I happen to like quite a lot of his personality. I can see he's a right arsey git, but he also makes me laugh, a lot. 

I find him mildly attractive........ and only because I like his personality. If I didn't I would have probably done what I do with all blonde,skinny blokes.....consigned him to the reject bin

It's not the type of look I would go for but I can see him being attractive to young girls - he has a kind of boy band look.


But personality is much more important to me and his is as dull as ditchwater.

JJ's a good looking guy but that horrible scowl makes him appear ugly. I also he think he has good dress length.

But, conversely, just because others don't find him attractive it doesn't mean that I have to agree.

And the whole premise of this thread doesn't make sense to me. There are men who I find good-looking who others think are ugly, and if they can't see why I'm attracted then they're not going to see it however I try to explain. Attraction is not based on logic.
