I watched the programme about the rescue of the Chilean miners.
Sean Pertwee's narration was a bit, er..well..unemotional. But that's why they choose him I suppose. (Coincidentally his voice was heard during an ad break for Teesside University.)
I thought it was very good, but I felt a big let down towards the end.
Big build up for 50 minutes then all the escapt done in double quick time.
I was amazed they did not show - or mention - the rescuers and medics who went down to join the miners, and they made it sound as if the last man out was the miners leader, but it was not. It was the first rescuer who went down to join them. Nothing of their relief on seeing rescuers was shown.
It was as if they got bored and rushed through the last bit missing out vast chunks.
Having watched the rescue live I felt this programme did not truly reflect the actual events of the rescue itself.

I had a tortoise once called Zero! Thought he was dead & so buried him in one my Mums best linen napkins...turned out he had gone into hibernation!

Karma, I'm sure it'll be repeated on E4 at some point, or it'll be on 4OD if you really wanted to see it It was interesting, I don't think I appreciated at the time the scale of the mine and the rescue operation
