Roll up, roll up .....it's the last episode , of the last series of Broadchurch tomorrow ...so...

Who is the rapist ?

Is there a rapist ?

Will we ever find out what Pauline Quirk was doing in that caravan ?

Will the vicar get arrested for something , anything ?

Will Dame go into meltdown if he doesn't ?

Place  your bets here

hmmmm ... and, what about that big bloke, was he Pauline Quirk's recently outed son in the first series? He had a bit of a walk on part early in this series, never to be seen again.

Dunno about the vicar now, having watched last week's episode last night I am thinking he is a little two obvious.

Have we discussed the possibility of it being Roy Hudd yet?

Hmm, I think Clive the taxi driver is involved in the rape but I think there was a second person filming it on a mobile phone (hence the light Trish mentioned). Could it be Clive's stepson or even Ellie's son?

The vicar is sooo dodgy, he has to be guilty of something, even if it's only, not revealing a confession from someone else.

Was Pauline Quirke's character not terminally ill at the end of series one/beginning of series two? I'm sure I read that somewhere - probably DS.

I'd forgotten about this and had to check the details, but yes: that's right.

Susan discovered she had lung cancer during her absence from Broadchurch (if you remember, she wasn't in the final episode of the 1st series), but returned in the 2nd series to attend the trial and accuse her son of murdering Danny. This was an attempt to "put things right" before her death, but ironically helped the real killer to walk...

I assumed the light was from the taxi (with or without Clive actually performing the attack), but someone filming is a possibility too, and they've already speculated that Trish may not have been able to judge how far way the light was (i.e. a big light far away, or a small light close up).

That said, I've been pretty certain from the first episode that a second person was involved, if only in the clean-up afterwards. I've also suspected that it might be a woman, although it's difficult now to see how that would work. At this stage, the only female character I can see involved is the waitress Dana, and I doubt they'd throw such a minor figure into the frame at the last moment...

Thanks Yogi and Eugene ...I have to admit I missed a couple of episodes of the second series cos tbh I found it quite boring ...unlike most of  series 1 and series 3

Oh yes , I forgot about him

Baz, the vicar must be guilty of something

Yep, Pauline Quirk was dying and never to be seen again.

it's not Roy Hudd, he wouldn't have waited all these years, he would have raped Hayley in Corrie

I thought it was the young lads, I still think the vicar knows something and I'm wrong about everything

so, last chance to pin the blame on anyone (in the programme, not the smutty viewers)

I would like to put it on record that I haven't got a flipping clue!

Well what a letdown that was  IMO the writer is great at scene setting ....and setting up threads that go nowhere .... but poor at the denouement .....

So it was. Glad I only watched the final episode

Line of Duty on the other hand..

I agree Velvet .....let's hope we aren't disappointed in that ending too

Oh well: I seem to have been the only one who liked the ending of "Broadchurch".

I thought it was well-done in tying-up all the all the threads in a satisfying conclusion (well, satisfying for me, anyway). Heck, even those plot strands involving both Miller and Hardy's children - which had previously appeared to be just background "colour" - turned out to be connected to the case!

I loved the series but thought the last 15 minutes was a bit rushed.

I thought Andrew Buchan (Mark Latimer) was fantastic!
