Welcome to British Summer Time

Hi El
Much the same here too

Hi Moonie

Hopefully the howling wind here will ease during the evening. One of those days where, even if one could, one wouldn't want to go outside.

I have just watched the Maltese Falcon. It still fascinates me

Quite a debut film from the director John Huston, one of the few major American film directors to carry on directing films well beyond the retirement age - he was 80/81 when he made his last film. He's been overtaken by Clint Eastwood (whose film "White Hunter, Black Heart" is his sort of tribute to John Huston).

Good morning everyone

Weather is dry, bright and chilly.

Apologies Moonie, I didn’t realise you were on the forum last night so belated goodnight

Squiggle, Mr Y was very happy with the cake

El, I've made Squiggle’s cake quite a few times and it always turns out well - considering I’m not the world’s best baker (understatement!🙈), it is a testament to Squiggle’s recipe

Stay safe, everyone

No need for apologies Yogi. I am in and out. So easy to miss

Looks like we're all in good spirits and long may it continue. What else can we do now the world has a new perspective. It's the important things now - not material triviality. I can honestly say I know none of you were and are influenced by the latter

Hope all are well and keep the     and      coming.

Take care all and stay safe. It only takes one slip up

Yogi, the nicestt jigsaw I've done in recent years was a 500 piece circular one called Grovely Kingfishers by C Newman.

The circular ones are very hard to do

They are hard to do which is why I would stick with 500 piece ones rather than larger ones

I once did a double-sided jigsaw (different picture on the two sides). Although claimed to be harder than a typical jigsaw I found it easier. The pictures were sufficiently different to be able to tell which side belonged to which picture. Then, where it wasn't clear if one piece fitted into another piece on one side, I just turned over the two pieces to see if they fitted on the other side.
