A vague message from Severn Trent that there's a general water supply issue  in my road, Looking at their map it seems to be centered on the other side of the road 4 houses away.  They'll start work tomorrow.

No idea what that means - it's not a water leak.

Bottled water for now would be my choice El

I've looked at the tap water and it looks clear. I would have thought that if the water was unsafe to drink the warning would be much stronger and also would apply to a large area, not just my road

You make some good points there El

Moonie

Evening all

We spent most of the day helping my parents clear out stuff from the old house.

Summer, I’ve got that Frozen Game app too.

Squiggle, I hope it remained bright for you

Sorry the rain appeared, Moonie. I hope you didn’t need to go out in it

Were you lucky, Velvet or did Bet365 win?

Fingers crossed the water issue doesn’t affect you, El - and that it is sorted quickly

lol I can’t see finger wrestling taking off in a big way

Think we have had  a similar letter EL and like you doesn't seem to affect us - Severn Trent took over from Dee valley water  in this part of wales - its not affecting the drinking water here but  just seems to be cleansing  the water pipes and improving the water supply from sediment etc but that hasn't affected us either

Good morning and belated goodnight hugs I hope you all slept well. How are you all today?

Yesterday was non stop busy! and I crammed in a quick lawn cut while the weather allowed.

The wardrobe is turning out the the way i’d like, thank you it was pine but it’s gradually turning a chalky shade called Moonlight White. All the fiddly drawer parts will be finished today, and then I can start on the outside!

Good morning everyone

A mix of sunshine and clouds here, could get some showers.

Ros, it's possible that it could be something to do with clearing sediment. Squiggle, there's nothing on Severn Trent's map to indicate what is the issue. A couple of weeks ago they replaced an external pipe under the pavement outside a house a few doors away. The Severn Trent map has the symbol on the other side of the road from that house. So it could be some after effect from that. Doesn't seem to be any issue with my water though.

I hope everyone has a good day

Good morning everyone it's raining here but the forecast for the week ahead is much dryer.

I don't watch cricket but I saw that bowling on the news and muttered to myself that's not cricket!

I'm glad the wardrobe painting and friends dropping in made for such a happy day and it sounds a good day for everyone

Enjoy your day everyone

Squiggle, the majority of batsmen at this level wear an attachment to the helmet which protects the neck. They also wear an arm guard. Steve Smith didn't have either as he doesn't feel comfortable with them. He may change his mind now. Yes, Archer's bowling was hostile, but I'm not aware that it infringed any of the cricket regulations.
