Good morning everyone

Hazy sunshine and getting warmer here.

The fact that words like bramble dropped out of that childrens dictionary and were replaced by words such as broadband is rather sad in a way. Children so wrapped up with iphones etc and missing out on things that were common when we were young - blackberry picking.

I hope everyone has a good day

Good morning all

Weather is mild and cloudy atm. Hopefully, the sun will break through later.

El, we Buddies will keep alive words like Bramble and cygnets.

Waiting in for my meds delivery and then heading out to Morrisons. Fortunately, my new(ish) meds company always come within the stated timeframe.

Have a good day, all.

Good morning a cool start but sunny and warming up now

Squiggle, I know what you mean, I think there’s some dramatic fiction being thrown in this current series of Victoria. Was her sister a real person?

El, I agree. Kids today lack social skills too, it’s very sad

yogi I hope your meds arrive swiftly and you can go have some fun after

~Sparkling Summer~

I've just been doing some gardening, part of which was, shock horror , getting rid of some brambles

Summer, I've yet to see this series of Victoria but Princess Feodora (half-sister to Victoria) was a real person. The Wiki article about her says that the way she's portayed in the series is not historically accurate.

Summer, drama writers have been twisting history facts for a long time.

For instance, Shakespeare's King Lear. In the play Cordelia dies, then the shattered Lear dies.
The historical Leir of Britain successfully invaded Britain, overthrowing his other daughters Goneril and Regan and became ruler again. After his death, Cordelia succeeded him.

Good morning everyone it looks like it will be a sunny day today to remember the sacrifice our Lord made so that we can be blameless in  God's eyes as Jesus paid the ultimate price for our sins. He tasted death for us so that we can be perfect when God looks at us. What a wonderful thought to remember today.

Enjoy your day everyone

Good morning everyone

A sunny warm day here.

Not something I'm intending to watch but there's a drama documentary about Oscar Wilde on BBC 2 tonight. Apparently he was inspired to write The Picture of Dorian Gray after a lunch with Arthur Conan Doyle. In the drama documentary Oscar Wilde is played by Nicholas Rowe (who was Young Sherlock Holmes in that film and the adult Sherlock Holmes shown briefly during the film Mr Holmes).

I hope everyone has a good day
