Afternoon Twickers, all is rank and filed here

Squiggle, it's a could about the dreadful beast returning in February even though some newspapers have been speculating that it's a will rather than a could.

Good morning I’ve just got back from a lovely spa break with my mum it was my birthday gift from last year! We had a great time

I hope you’re all warm & dry. We’ve had snow but now it’s sunny. It is -1 though for the first time in a long time

I love those Ice pancakes!

Afternoon all

Frosty and bright. The low sun is a problem when driving - well, it is when you are a shorty like me

Summer, I’m glad you and your mum had a good time at the spa

All is well, hope you are too, Twickers

Good morning everyone

On the cold side here and some rain expected later. Some of the weather sites (not the BBC) are now forecasting that in a week's time temperature dropping further to zero or sub-zero to mid February.

I hope everyone has a good day

Good morning everyone

No snow atm but a bright and frosty morning.

I’ve got a couple of loaves in my freezer and some dried milk, just in case we get a return of the beast.

Summer, I’ll be careful when I’m out and about, and you do likewise

El, last time I saw my consultant he commented that the price of my medication was finally coming down (it’s very expensive and the hospital board have to approve its use) but quipped, “If we can get it after Brexit”

Have a good day, everyone

Good morning everyone, it's a very breezy morning.  I've got a rainbow just fading away outside my window and the sea looks so pretty this morning, like pale green glass with lots of white wave tops.  The low glare from the sun is quite topical this morning as the Duke of Edinburgh blames that for the car crash he had yesterday.

Enjoy your day everyone

It's quite cloudy here so no low sun glaring through car windows here today.

Just had one of those computer scam phone calls. "Steven" with an Asian accent (which he was trying to suppress) claiming that I had been ignoring lots of warnings about my computer and ordering me to be in front of my computer so that he could "prove" that there were problems. I told him that I didn't believe him and he then said I had 30 minutes to comply and started a count down. After a couple of minutes he terminated the call.

What the options for your medication situation after brexit, El? Surely they’ll have to find another way to bring it in??

It's not clear as to if this is to do with brexit causing people to stockpile in advance causing shortages. I'll have a bit over 2 weeks left of the medication on the list by the time I try to get another prescription so there is some time for it to some through. The problem though is that people will panic, try to get prescriptions much eartlier than necessary causing problems for people who have left it to the last minute.

Oh dear. An disappointing example of humans being selfish rather than considering our neighbours. Everyone should stick together during uncertain times

My brother has arrived for a weekend visit so I won't be around here that much. It's the visit I mentioned some time ago so I have a small Christmas cake I bought from M&S. It's a smaller version of the one Gregg Wallace demonstrated on the 2017 Christmas "Inside the Factory". Clip from that:

Yogi, it's not mentioned in the BBC news article by name but I've found out that one of my medications is on the list

One of MrY’s blood pressure tablets is on the list too.

Enjoy the cake and the visit from your brother, El.

Squiggle, I did see that the Duke of Edinburgh said he was blinded by the sun. He was lucky that nobody seems to have sustained any serious injuries.

Summer, you are right about people. If they stopped panicking and stockpiling, there would probably be enough for everyone.

Yogi19

Good morning everyone

Forecast to be a rainy day here, below average temperature but not cold enough for snow.

I realised this morning that I had another box of that high blood pressure medication so I have 4 weeks more in hand I have less of the other medications but those aren't mentioned on the shortages list.

Having a pleasant time with my brother and the Christmas cake is nice

I hope everyone has a good day

Good morning everyone.

It has been snowing and now it’s foggy.

El, I’m glad you have a supply of tablets.

Hope you and your brother enjoy the rest of the weekend.

Got to go post some things this morning - I will take care on the roads.

Have a good day, all.

Good morning everyone, a bright morning with some blue sky.  I'm glad your weekend is going well and that the Christmas cake is up to expectations EL.  The medicine (again for high blood pressure) that I am running low on is not on the list but hasn't been available for weeks.  I tend to stay well stocked up, rather more down to my pharmacy than me as they order in for me and deliver.  I haven't received this particular item since August and when I googled the brand name it said it would be stocked again from January.  I checked with the pharmacy again yesterday and still no luck so she suggested I phone my doctor and request that he issue a prescription for the generic name not the brand name.  Let's see if that works.

Enjoy your day everyone

squiggle

No mishaps thankfully, El

Squiggle, I hope your pharmacist can source some of your meds soon

Heading off to finish a Vera book. Goodnight and sweet dreams, everyone.

Hugs for any night owls

Thanks Squiggle It's been a pleasant weekend with my brother. I've just dropped him off at the railway station. The trains seem to be better than they have been for a long time as it looks as if none of today's scheduled trains back from here to London have been cancelled. So he's catching the train he wanted to get for the first time in almost a year
