Good morning everyone

Fairly bright here for a change and the relatively mild weather has gone.

Our church curate, having completed her 3 years curacy period, has moved to Nailsworth a week ago. After a long time Google maps has corrected the name of a road there - BBC article:

The new vicar's church is shown on the map - unlikely that she had any effect on Google's change

I hope everyone has a good day

Thanks Summer, though we've yet to have a new curate. In the local diocese priests and deacons are ordained at Petertide which would be the Saturday/Sunday closest to June 29th. A deacon is the first stage of ordination and that's on the Sunday. At that stage they cannot officiate at communion services. If all goes well, a year later they are ordained as priests on the Saturday. That's so the following day they can officiate at their first Sunday communion. Typically during the year as deacon and then two years as priest they are working as a curate before going off to be a vicar at another benefice. I'm using the words curate and vicar as that's the case in our church but the terms can vary in other churches.

So we won't get another curate until the end of June and that's assuming we get one.

As you and Squiggle say it's very windy and it was noticeably colder coming back from church than when going there.

Looks as if I've been able to get that tax sorted out for the client with the pensions excess tax charge. Lengthy phone call to HMRC yesterday. It was clear that it was particularly complicated probably due to the way the self assessment computer system and the PAYE tax code computer system interact with each other. I think the tax code system transmits information to the self assessment system but that there's a delay before the self assessment system recognises that information.
