Summer,  the snow was only going to stay for a short time anyway. Met Office forecast for early January does expect some snow and they say it could come by late December. A small chance that there could be some over Christmas.

Yogi, I hope you have a nice day with your family

Squiggle, I've never watched Strictly, but then things like that,X-factor etc never had any appeal to me

Good morning everyone.

Weather is dry atm.

Squiggle, I found I wasn’t engaged with Strictly this year and agree it has lost it’s sparkle.

I have found I am increasingly bored with reality shows and was actually glad to see BB end. IAC has lost its appeal and The Apprentice was beyond boring this year. I think I may be suffering from reality tv fatigue.

I will give Dancing On Ice a go in January, although the inclusion of Gemma Collins fills me with dread.

Some final gifts to pick up today, then I should be finished.

Have a good day, all.

Good afternoon sunny and bright here!

ðŸĪ” what can get yogi to watch instead of reality shows..? The thought of Gemma Collins on ice is enough to make me give away my tv!

I like cookery programmes and history ones too.

I’ll need to hide all heavy objects when GC is on screen, or my tv will be in danger.

The New Horizons probe (the one that went past Pluto some 3 years ago) is on track to fly by Ultima Thule on New Year's Day making it the most distant visit to a Solar System body. It's hoped that it will be able to take photos of Ultima Thule.

Ultima Thule is an asteroid in the Kuiper belt. In ancient Greek and Roman literature Thule was the place furthest north. Virgil came up with the idea of Ultima Thule as a place beyond the known world. At one time Thule was used for Iceland (later Norway) and Ultima Thule for Greenland.
