Moonie, having just returned from doing a bit of local shopping (nothing in the way of cakes) I agree with you it's bitterly cold. It's also raining. Met Office shows the effective temperature allowing for the wind is minus 1

It was at the local Co-op rather than M&S so things like bread rather than cakes
