Good morning everyone, another lovely morning, in fact looking ahead this warm/hot dry weather, temperatures depending on which part of the country you live in, is expected to continue well into July with no appreciable rain in the forecast.  Although this is lovely for holidaymakers my lawn is already beginning to look parched.  Reminds me of 1976 when everyone's lawn turned brown and ridiculous sneaky attempts at watering were made during the hosepipe ban with people supposedly sneaking out with a hose in the middle of the night and being reported!

It’s a lovey sunny morning up here and the forecast for next week looks good too.

Squiggle, my back lawn has gone from a wet swamp in winter to very dry indeed. Fingers crossed there won’t be a hosepipe ban.

Squiggle and Yogi, I mentioned the other day that I hadn't needed to cut the grass as it has been so dry. Mine is much the same as yours.

I think the latest advice from the Met Office has been that there shouldn't be the need for a hosepipe ban provided that people use water sensibly. That of course could change if the weather stays dry throughout July and August.

night yogi we performed Rossini's Petite Messe solonelle last night -huge success ,the-church was packed -the four soloists were superb and the audience clapped for ages and some stood-challenging piece-so glad we persevered with it

thank you squiggle we felt like giving up at times especially  with 'cum sancto spiritu' it was a challenge but feels like an achievement now

50% of the programmes shown will be repeats so I think I’ll stick to normal BBC
