Squiggle, it's not too bad here (yet), it's breezy but not damaging. I think the wind in your area is stronger than here. I think you've probably already battened down the hatches. It's probably a day where you are staying in rather than going for a walk across the downs. I've been out shopping. I had filled the tank just the other day so having a full tank meant that the car was less affected by the wind. The bypass going over the motorway is the windiest part of my route but no problem.

It's rather windy and there's hefty showers as well here so I'm glad I'm not going out again today - it starts improving in my area during the evening.

Very cold, very wet and very windy here 

And I have a cough and sore throat too 

No need to go out until Monday though 

Poor Moonie, you must have caught Summer's bug

Although it's been windy and quite wet here it could have been worse. Maximum gust shown on my very local website was 43 mph. I think it was probably worse in Squiggleland.

Good morning everyone, still windy here but not as bad as it was yesterday.  My grandson had a lucky escape, he was coming home by cab (we have a terrible bus service here) and the cab was on its way to pick him up when it was hit by a huge tree which caved in the back seat and the boot!

I hope the weather is improving for everyone and that Moonie and Summer are feeling better this morning.

Good evening and omg squiggle thank goodness your grandson wasn't injured, that must have been really scary for him though 

thanks again for your lovely messages my voice is still a bit croaky but improving every day  

I've had a long day out walking today, but it was worth driving over to the Lake District, my friends & I have thoroughly enjoyed ourselves

For those who watch Inspector George Gently, the very final episode is on BBC1 next Monday, the 30th, at 20.30. It's about Gently investigating "bent coppers". It had been scheduled to be shown on May 28th but the BBC rescheduled it.

Yogi, wasn't there a boat in that interesting I sent you on Saturday though as it's an inflatable one it would take a lot of puff to inflate it The tiddlers may be able to help
