I had a brilliant time last night with my friend staying, we made the most of the few hours we shared and now she’s up in Scotland 
Summer, thanks, the rain didn't last long The flood waters from the river are causing problems here but in areas which are officially on flood plains. More heavy rain is expected tomorrow and Thursday - there are concerns as to what effect that has on this part of the country, particularly at the weekend. Takes time for the flood water to get here from say Shropshire so the rain from Storm Dennis take 2-3 days for the full effect on the river.

Cloudy here, some rain forecast for later. Flooding is increasing in this part of the country because of the river overflowing but only on officially recognised flood plains.

Thanks Yogi Unfortunately the flooding is getting worse and will be there for some days. A major road nearby is now closed for at least 2 days - the section of the road closed is on the flood plains so it's not surprising. Will mean that commuting traffic will take a lot longer for people.

The main road near here remains closed due to flooding. The council says that that road and other roads in the county which are currently closed are expected to remain closed throughout the weekend and into the following week. Unknown at present what the effect will be of the rain falling today in the north of Wales on the river level here - takes 2 to 3 days for the flood water there to get here.
Worst flooding than February 2014 though not the July 2007 one ..... so far.....

Moonie, Met Office think that the weather will be a lot more settled by the middle of March for areas other than the north. I think this weather is draining people so it's not surprising you seem to be getting one thing after another. I hope you start feeling better soon and get out and about

Very very windy last night here with fence panels down or damaged - only sorted out a few weeks ago. Expected to remain windy for the next 3 days.
Met Office say that between the 26th and March 6th:
"There is an increased chance of deep low pressure systems affecting somewhere in the UK, causing large amounts of rainfall and very strong winds. "
So more named storms expected anywhere.

Cheltenham Town beat Mansfield this afternoon 1-0. Result means that Cheltenham has the same number of points they got in the whole of the 2018/19 season with 13 games left of the season. Also it's now mathematically impossible to them to be relegated not that that was ever likely this season.

Good morning we’ve woken up to snow here and the roads are chaotic! Buses were stuck, cars were stuck.. it’s melting already, but it’s been great fun

Summer, the main issue here has been the rain and the wind. I heard someone say this morning that it was worse then July 2007 - not the case though it has been very windy. My fence man came this morning to look over the damage. Likely to be 3 weeks before he does the work as there's a waiting list by fence suppliers due to the widespread damage. He's been inundated by people needing fence replacements/repairs but is turning all work away other than for his exisisting customers.
