My diet has hit an impasse. I've lost 15lbs but now I seem to have got stuck.

Son is still playing the "you need to exercise" record. I'm still ignoring him.

Good morning everyone, looks like a beautiful morning.  I have missed the bit about the iPhone, hope it will survive Summer.

Yogi I wouldn't worry about the weight not shifting.  My friend who's just had the bariatric surgery (medical reasons, she was born with arthritis) found that the weight dropped off her before the op.  They had restricted what she was allowed to eat drastically.  Since the op she hasn't lost any weight (on the scales that is) but you can see it's still coming off.  The body can be funny that way, it seems to want to hold onto the weight.  I don't know how it works but I know it does so you will probably find that if you keep on going it will suddenly shift.

Thanks El, they have learnt their lesson!
Good morning, hope the phone recovers Summer x
A bit dismal here this morning, although the seagulls are loving it, they have been giving it plenty since dawn. Enjoy the sun those who have it x

Thanks Squiggle, that's encouraging to hear. I will stick with it and hopefully the weight will come off eventually.

Good afternoon all. It's pretty miserable weather up here - very windy and raining.

Summer, I hope your phone has dried out and is working properly again.

Thanks for the news that Downton will be shown on STV, El. I think they were scared not to show it, in case Skylark gave them another telling off.

I went to Morrisons this morning to do my weekly shopping, and the prices are beyond a joke now. You get so little for your money, it's depressing.

I go to Tesco these days, just because its nearer and its the same. the price of food is shocking. Fruit and veg will get more expensive too with all the rain we have had

It has been a terrible year for crop growing farmers, and we are going to get hit hard in our pockets over the winter, because the home-grown produce just isn't going to be available.

Yes its shame for the farmers when their livelihood depends on getting a good harvest. Signing off son needs the computer. Goodnight all xxx

It's a real shame.

Goodnight Skylark.

I remember those days well, Squiggle. Teenagers seem to have hollow legs, goodness knows where they put it all.

evening My phone is looking promising, I'm not getting my hopes up, it may well suddenly stop working in a day or so.. But at the moment it's back to normal I'm shocked! Yogi, muscle mass, hydration levels.. All sorts can affect the number on the scales, please don't be too hard on yourself if it doesn't move for a while. I think you're doing a great job Hope everyone had a good day
~Sparkling Summer~

So glad you are able to be on here again during the day Summer, yes the year has turned and the smell of Autumn is in the air.  Because the year took so long to get going there has not been a lot of dying off of the vegetation yet as there usually is by now, which is nice.  It is the one thing I don't like, to see the plants yellowing and looking sorry for themselves.  This is when I am most grateful to have a gardener who will trim them back and then we can look forward to the new growth in the Spring.
