Yogi I would be very very cautious about a vaccine, lots of research needed, a word to the wise. By the by has anyone else noticed many many people coming to faith in the Lord at this time of great upheaval?  I have seen many on their knees and calling out to Him around the world.

You are absolutely right, we need to make sure any vaccine is safe before we roll it out

I think a lot of people find solace and strength in faith, and particularly in times of adversity - even some who previously thought they didn’t have faith

It's much much deeper than making sure a vaccine is safe from a medical aspect Yogi. As I said lots of research needed! I said to my grandson yesterday if they offered me a vaccine or a gun I would take the gun. Also faith in Jesus alone is much more important than a source of solace and strength particularly at this time. Not a bad idea, as Pastor Lawson is always stressing, to start reading a King James bible. All other versions are not to be trusted.

Enjoy your day everyone

Good morning everyone

A dry and bright day so we are heading into the garden again.

Squiggle, my bible is a King James Bible

Stay safe and have a good day, everyone

as is mine I do have a couple of other versions but the King James version is the one I read.

Mine too. Boys Brigade.

Got another one I can't find.

Take it easy troops and find some levity. It's the only way out of prison

And hope all are well

As it’s a lovely day I decided to have a wander down the local shop. Togged up in protective mask, scarf and gloves. I got a few things so I am okay until Thursday  now
The thing is I spotted some Dove soap which I like. Single bar ÂĢ1.50. A double pack same size bar ÂĢ2.50. Now if that isn’t profiteering I don’t know what is

Could you report that to your local trading standards people?

Evening all

Summer, it was a mild and bright day here. Glad you were able to do some walking

Moonie, I’ve seen several instances of profiteering during this crisis - absolutely sickening!

El and Velvet, the subject of bibles, I was the flower girl at my uncle’s (dad’s youngest brother) wedding and my gift to the bride was a white, leather bound bible which she carried along with her bouquet. When I was getting married, my aunt asked if I’d like to carry the bible on my wedding day as my “something borrowed”. I thought it was a lovely gesture and I did carry the bible along with my bouquet.

Good morning sunny with blue skies here, I’ve just got back from walking the dogs and I can’t wait to spend some time in my garden today

happy new tax year to you too El I hope it’s a smooth one for you

Thanks Summer - likely to be quite some time before I do any tax return work though obviously

Velvet, it's a good week on BBC 2 for classic British comedy films

Tomorrow - The Man in the White Suit
Wednesday - The Titfield Thunderbolt
Thursday - Whisky Galore! (the original rather than the remake)
Friday - The Lavender Hill Mob

The Lavender Hill Mob is brilliant.

The Man in the White Suit is far better in my opinion and I rate it as possibly the best British comedy film ever made - it's not a film which is laugh out loud though, it is in a way as much a tragedy as a comedy. Alec Guinness at his best.

I've got those on the Definitive Ealing Studios collection on DVD.
