El that’s really interesting about the flu jab, I didn’t know that. I only had it once and I felt really ill for 24 hours after, so that put me off getting it again. I think I was just unlucky that year.

Rained during the night here, currently not raining but very overcast, more rain forecast with the unsettled weather continues well into next week.

Summer, when you do need to start getting flu jabs it's worth mentioning that you had felt really ill to your doctor before going to get a flu jab

I work up quite early overnight, think it might have been that the night temperature hadn't gone down much from the day time temperature. The outside temperature here at 8 this morning was 14 C which is several degrees about the average for October.

Moonie will be delighted you are getting cakes

Moonie, it's rather windy here as well. There's rain in the air but it's forecast to be a wet afternoon in an hour or so. No weather warnings for my area though there are warnings elsewhere.

Ardal O'Hanlon is leaving Death in Paradise during the next series (the 9th). No news as to exactly when or how and no news as to the replacement, Series 10 has already been commissioned.

As the series gets made during the summer and the next series is scheduled to start sometime in January, the replacement must have already been filming their scenes.

Whoever is the replacement is likely to be another male comedian/actor who has been in TV comedy series before as the series is a BBC hit and the producers are unlikely to risk changing the basic format.

loved chris my very fave - loved Death in Paradise  bit like Agatha Christie in Paradise and the Lizard was cute

Re Death in Paradise, it's Kris Marshall rather than Chris . Used to be the older brother in My Family - some of the earlier episodes with him were really funny and quite surreal so I had remembered him from that.

I haven't looked but it wouldn't be surprised if there's a fan website for that lizard
