Good morning everyone, we have light rain showers and I've just had the most gorgeous rainbow.  My favourite Cary Grant film of all time is An Affair to Remember which I watched again recently.  After years of trying to persuade my grandson to watch UP he finally watched it with his son and was surprised how good it was and how funny.  I hope you have a nice restful day today Summer after that hectic week.

Enjoy your day everyone

Summer, I hope the BBQ goes well despite the weather

Moonie, the weather has been much the same as yours - it's not raining at present though the clouds look threatening.

Squiggle and Yogi, I thought that Love Affair (1939) (Charles Boyer and Irene Dunne) was more profound than An Affair to Remember (a semi-remake) but mainly because of Maria Ouspenskaya who, although only briefly in the film, was exceptional.

That’s the one thing that annoys me more than anything El, being threatened by a cloud ðŸ˜ĄðŸ˜‚

Did you know that 2.5 million Mills & Boon books where shedded and added to the surface of the M6 toll road, supposedly to make the ride more comfortable and to help bind the surface together?

No, I didn't know that. The likelyhood of me ever reading a Mills & Boon book is nil. My mother had worked in the local WH Smith warehouse for a time, would have come across them whilst there, and didn't have a high opinion of them though knew that many women loved them.

I would be amazed if they had been. Here's another piece of trivia I came across years ago. Gill Sanderson, one of the writers of Mills and Boon books, is a pseudonym for Roger Sanderson, their only male writer. (that's from years ago though).

Good morning everyone

Cloudy here and may get a bit more rain.

I don't know if any of you watch Fake or Fortune?. Previous series have tended to have 4 episodes but last year there were only 3. A 4th one was scheduled but was withdrawn and hasn't been shown. That one was about a paining attributed to Alberto Giacometti and was postponed "pending further investigation". The new series started yesterday and apparentl;y has 5 episodes so it's possible that the Giacometti one will get shown this time.

I hope everyone has a good day
