Featureless grey sky here and humid, the most likely day for some time to have rain and could be thundery,

The film "Christmas in July" is a surprisingly short film, 67 minutes at the cinema, so 64 minutes on video or television. It's the shortest of Preston Sturges's films. If I were to say which was his best I would go for Sullivan's Travels.

Still having problems with my IPad. I will be going up to the Apple shop in town on Saturday to try and get it sorted

Moonie, if you can, take an external backup of any important files you have on your ipad before taking it in to the Apple shop tomorrow. It's quite possible that they will have to do a factory re-set and reinstall the os and you could find that everything is lost

Whatever rain does fall here is much needed. This dry weather is not good news for farmers and therefore for any of us.
