Fine here thanks Yogi. Nice day and got the grass cut

We did the back garden at the weekend.

Good morning everyone, lowering clouds this morning but the forecast is mainly dry, my goodness it is chilly though, I can't believe it's August.

Enjoy your day everyone

Squiggle, it's chilly here too, I think tomorrow is back to where we've been recently - zero sign that there's going to be a hot spell. It's down to the jet stream being right over us.

I think we are having the best of the weather today but there has been a definite autumnal feel in the last week or so.

Mess with my beloved Pride & prejudice?! What on earth are they thinking!

afternoon all it's been pleasant & blowy here today. I've got my 3rd load of washing on the line and have took up a new pair of curtains. A friend called round to walk with Bramble & myself and I've just had a call to say my friends daughter is on her way over.

Are you all having a good day?

~Sparkling Summer~

Summer, you've been pleasantly busy today I've been working away on a client's accounts - it's a registered charity and the accounts are somewhat different from the usual. I've done it for years so I'm familiar with the more unusual aspects of it. Unusual in an accounting sense rather than unusual in what it does.

El Loro

That sounds really quite enjoyable El I like tasks that are a little out of the ordinary

my friends daughter came over for the afternoon, I think she'd have happily stayed all night if she could lol

then a friend rang this evening, needing an ear to offload some heartbreak to.

I did manage a nice relaxing bath inbetween the two though, and ate a bag of revels while I was in there

Good morning everyone, a much nicer morning and, as you say EL, not as cold as it has been.

Yogi I like the DPD deliveries where you can follow the progress on a map and see exactly when the parcel will be delivered.

Enjoy your day everyone

DPD are great and my delivery driver is such a nice man.

Unfortunately, this parcel isn't coming with them.

Yogi, I hope your delivery man isn't waiting for you to leave to do your shopping so that they know you'll be out

If possible I try to get something delivered on a day that I know I'll be in bit it doesn't always work.

I only ordered it yesterday and opted for standard delivery (usually takes 3 days) so I was really surprised to get the email stating it would be delivered today.

Not that I am complaining about the speedy delivery.

Good afternoon sunny early here today, now a bit cloudy.

Yogi I hate that guessing game! I hope your delivery is arriving promptly today and that you are soon free to go shopping

I was lucky that it arrived soon after I'd posted, so I've done my shopping.

I think I saw the same news item about that apostrophe man
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/av/uk-39459831/

Thanks El

Yes, that's the guy. He even made a special tool to reach the apostrophes which were to high to reach.

The worst misuse of apostrophes I've seen, was in a charity shop window. They were advertising the fact they had Holy Communion dresses available. They had managed to spell Holy Communion properly but spelt dresses, "dress's"
