Good morning everyone

Cloudy here, downpours forecast thoughout today amd tomorrow, There was flash flooding in Cheltenham the other day closing a couple of schools and the railway station was closed for a time with water pouring from the platform on to the line just like a waterfall.

Velvet, in this part of the country, the vicarages are owned and maintained centrally rather than by the individual churches and so there's no direct cost to be found by the congregations. The cost of maintaning the churches does have to be found by the congregations.

I hope everyone has a good day

Good morning everyone, it's actually cold here, makes a change from last week, we are still just getting a dribble of rain here and there.  I think we'd better start handing out BB medals to those brave enough to 'go over the top' and watch Big Brother this year from the sound of it, just when you think they have reached the bottom of the barrel I'm not even bothering to read about it.

Does Bramble chew her lead Summer?  I have had to buy small link chain leads for my grandson's dog as she takes great delight in chewing all her leads - I reckon we've got her with this one    Yogi what a delightful surprise, I am sure you made the most of it

Enjoy your day everyone

Good morning everyone.

The sun is shining atm.

I've spent ages battling to sign in on the Virgin website. They have been "tinkering" and now it won't let me sign in. I'll give them a call later.

Squiggle, I certainly did make the most of the unexpected visit

Mr Yogi and I are painting exterior window sills today. I'm doing the low ones, he's going up the ladders.

Have a good day everyone.

Yogi, I've been able to sign in on the Virgin website just now without any problems so it seems a localised problem. I hope your painting goes well and that the weather doesn't cause problems

Strangely enough, I haven't read anything here about BB which makes me feel inclined to watch it "Vanity, vanity, all is vanity"

Yogi I hope you manage to get the Virgin website problem sorted quickly.  They are having Victorian week in our nearest town and there was a notice just now as I drove down the high street, 'danger cowboys firing guns' There were both cowboys and indians (old fashioned term now I know) getting ready for a battle, and quite a few people dressed in Victorian costumes.

Good everyone

Looking like a downpour is imminent

El, we had a lot of rain overnight here. It was like a river outside. It's stopped sometime around 2-15am...

squiggle, I reckon everyone who watches BB deserves a medal

Yogi, I hope the painting is going well

No shaking the ladder when Mr Yogi is up

The Virgin website can be temperamental at time

Have a super day everyone

Good noon everyone an overcast but generally better day here this morning.

No Bramble doesn't chew her lead, Squiggle I like her to be off leash as much as possible, but she's a good girl when she's on it. Her nose rules, she's a big sniffer

Hi Sweet

Bramble's nose does tend to lead her into trouble occasionally as we have heard

Have a lovely day

I'll try it again, El, in case it was a blip.

Sounds like fun, apart from the guns.

Moonie, Mr Yogi and I had a "domestic" re the painting.

When we opened the tin, the colour was nothing like the pic on the side of the tin. I wanted to take it back and change it but Mr Y couldn't be bothered and started slapping it on.  I complained loudly as I was putting it on but fortunately it was much nearer to the colour on the tin once it dried.

Afternoon Summer.

Up here, the sun is popping out, then cloud appears. It's warm in the sun but chilly when the cloud comes out.

*passes poor Mr Yogi some ear defenders*

Its was just an optical illusion then Yogi?

Moonie

I am glad the paint dried the right colour Yogi, I could see that happening just that way between me and my hubby so I know how you felt.  Not to worry it's just cap guns (they are all big boys really)

I'm having a real blast from the past, I'm not so keen on never ending football so I ordered the Forsyte Saga, 7 DVD's, the one from 1967.  I just watched the first episode and although it's in black and white you don't really notice and the story is very good.

I've had one of those charity publications scam phone calls this afternoon claiming that in November we agreed to sponsor a book on Child Safety. I know that I didn't. This is a known scam which targets businesses.

I've reported it to Action Fraud as other businesses will be targeted.

The phone number which appears on caller display is 01613900189.

Quite interesting bit of news about Audrey Hepburn:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-36525320

Felix Aylmer was an English actor and was in quite a few of the Laurence Olivier Shakespeare films. Not as well known as Olivier or John Gielgud but a fine actor with a well educated voice. He trained Audrey Hepburn in acting and elocution when she first started acting in this country in 1948. They remained friends thereafter though they never appeared in the same film.
