Work was busy, I'm glad I'm off tomorrow

hows your family yogi? How many are gathering on Xmas day/Boxing Day?

moonie, how did your team do this weekend?

Sorry Summer, we must have been posting around the same time and I missed this.

Family are fine, thanks.

Youngest son and his fiancÃĐe will be joining us on Christmas Day.

Boxing Day will be busier, with my three sons, their OHs, PB, my mum and dad and my brother and uncle.

Good morning everyone.

Hoping to catch up with housework and ironing today.

Have a good day everyone

Good morning everyone

Blue sky here at long last. It's been quite some time since there's been any in my area. Sadly it's forecast to rain later today.

Summer, I hope you've cooled down from that blisteringly hot curry It was that side dish of scotch bonnets which did it.

Yogi, it sounds as if your Boxing Day will be a grand family reunion

Squiggle, if my brother comes here it would be on Wednesday afternoon and returning the following Tuesday afternoon. No trains on the 25th or 26th, and travelling on the 27th or 28th between here and London is near impossible due to major engineering works which means train journeys will take twice the time. There is a high risk that I would be down with a cold or something over Christmas as there's a lot of bugs around at present and I've been sneezed at or coughed at 3 times in the last 2 days by people I've been close to.

Afternoon I hope you're all

keeping warm and cosy, it's a mild 10 degrees here. We've had a lovely walk, got very muddy and enjoyed the sunshine & blue skies. I saw 3 rainbows today

squiggle, that's a lovely christmass tree thanks

I've got my mum coming up for Christmas, she's having a traditional turkey dinner while I'm having a prawn curry & all the extras. She's a bit of a humbug but I'll still enjoy our time together, bramble may need some extra long walks though

I hope none of you get sick and that everyone's visitors can come as planned. My mums been poorly with a chest infection but is starting to feel better now so it looks likely that she will be well enough to travel.

I have seen double rainbows some times but to see a triple one is very rare but is possible. When you get a double rainbow, the secondary one is a dimmer reflection of the primary one with the colours in the opposite direction (as it's a reflection). With the triple rainbow, the tertiary one is a reflection of the secondary one so the colours are in the same order as the primary one but the tertiary one is so dim which makes it so rare to see. I might once have seen part of a tertiary rainbow but it was so faint that I can't say if I really did see it.

Evening all.

El, you need some positive thinking! Repeat after me, "I will not become ill! I will not become ill!".

Squiggle, that twinkly Christmas tree is beautiful. Will you get to see the family over the Christmas period?

Summer, I'm really pleased your mum will be able to join you, and I'm sure Bramble will appreciate those extra walks.

Lucky you, seeing three rainbows.

Yes thank you Yogi we are having an immediate family proper Christmas dinner on Wednesday and then my eldest grandson is bringing his family over on Christmas morning before they go to her Mum for Christmas lunch. I accidentally hit two 'L's' and predictive text helpfully suggested I make it Christmas Llama! Wouldn't fancy eating that.

That's fascinating, I didn't know that! Thank you

By the way Summer I am so glad you got to see 3 rainbows today, I was lucky to see one but 3, now that's a real treat

It makes me feel blessed Squiggle, and it helps guide me in my decisions. Sounds silly to some I'm sure, but I always say you can't ignore gut instincts

Not silly at all I'm sure God uses rainbows to send us a message, in my experience especially when we need a hug. My dear friend always feels it's a hug with God on one end and her on the other, not a bad way to think about it. I do hope your Mum feels better soon, such a shame to miss out on a Christmas together. My grandson had planned to bring his family to church for the Christmas service today but he was sick all night long

Squiggle I hope you enjoy the Buble Christmas specials

i may may have spoken too soon about my mum, she feels worse again today. She's giving herself 2 days before making her decision as to whether she'll come here or not.

Oh no! Hopefully, she'll pick up in the next day or so, and still be able to visit.

Good morning everyone

A bit of blue sky here but there's been rain and more is forecast.

Summer, I hope your mother does get better soon enough to may able to visit you

I reckon squiggle's predictive text can, not only predict text, but look into the future. http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b06t0rlh That's spooky

Very good EL, I have made a mental note of that as one of my Christmas highlights.

Grey damp and drizzly and the wind is still very high, not very Christmassy but at least it's mild.

Making breadcrumbs and cleaning my copper kettle today - not both at the same time, of course.

Enjoy your day everyone

Squiggle, the weather here is now the same as you have though having just been out to a client it's not mild - effective temperature with the wind chill is 6 at present according to the Met Office.

Shaun the Sheep with those llamas - I think the result could be chaos

Good luck with cleaning the copper kettle and I hope you don't fall in
