Squiggle, my client would still be liable for the underpaid tax as it is his responsibility to ensure that the tax return is correct and it is not as if he has lost out on the tax as he should have paid it in the first place. He might have a case to make a claim for any interest he was charged or any fees he was charged for correcting the error but I think these would be too small to justify the cost and time involved in making a claim.

El Loro

Howdy doody all

Weather has not made its mind up yet. Sunny then cloud then....well you get the drift

Sweet, sounds like yours is a good explanation for your dreams I didn't sleep too well but that's normal for me

No need for apologies Have a great day off

Yogi, I hope you have a lovely day with PB and Harv and get loads of cuddles until your cuddle-o-meter is set to burst

El, good luck with your accountancy exploits. Sounds like a mind field to me

Squiggle, I hope you have a lovely day

See you all later

Squiggle, I think that the client would have to demonstrate that he had suffered financial loss as a result. This is an article I found on the subject:

http://www.crippslaw.com/guida...ional-negligence.pdf

If you read the section headed Loss which starts at the end of page 2 I think this supports my thought that he could only be successful on interest and fee costs, not on the tax itself. I did try copying it here but it does not work.

El Loro

Just seen a man in a yellow reflective jacket on a motorised buggy slowly driving on the pavement all down my road, stop at the corner, turn round and drive back still on the pavement. Must be a workman doing some sort of survey but don't know what it's about. No mention of it on the council's roadworks lists

El Loro
Afternoon

No my dream didn't conclude, they never usually do and I've had similar dreams all week, and have awoken at the same time every morning.
I've always been an active dreamer but this week's are more intense. I would bet that they stop once my walk is complete- I have been training since new year and now the big day is very close...

I've been to town to run an errand for mr summer, and SIL was going anyway so we decided to go in together, have lunch and then shop.
I very rarely shop, I don't enjoy it, but I did get a new pair of jeans and a pair of shoes for work I had more bags from m&s food than anywhere else

El, thank goodness you spotted the error in your new clients accounts! I hope it can all be rectified

Squiggle, I'm like that with plants, but I'm sure it won't be long before they flourish
~Sparkling Summer~

El, your posts show the importance of having a good accountant.

Squiggle, I share your impatience when waiting for plants to grow. I think I was at the back of the queue when patience was being handed out.

Summer, I don't like shopping for clothes either. Food shopping is better - and meringues and strawberries falling into your trolley is my favourite kind of 'accident'.

What have you been up to today, Moonie?

PB had a bit of a cold but it didn't seem to bother her too much. She has been singing, dancing and chasing the dogs. It's a good job both dogs have soft natures and love her. And I got lots of cuddles and some kisses too.

Yogi19

Hi Yogi

I have been to the bank, washed and dried a huge line of washing and even managed to fit some gardening in too

Awww tis a shame about Pb's cold but as you say, it didn't seem to bother her much

Singing and dancing? She is a talented little gal Even the dogs got her attention

Oh! whooooooo hooooooooo cuddles and kisses too fabbbbbbbbbby

You must be worn out now then?

 Ever so slightly.

You have been a busy bee! I hope you are relaxing now?

Absolutely!

It is very satisfying when you stand back and see the improvement in the garden, it makes all the hard work worthwhile.

It does indeed
It looks so much better than it did a few months a Yogi

Mine does too, although I noticed there are a few more weeds in the front borders which need removing.

Weeds are definitely the most prolific growers in my garden

Someone once said a weed is simply a flower which is growing in the wrong place. Why do so many have to choose my garden?

Oh, I got some weed/flower like thing growing in places in my garden. It looks like asparagus but very small. When matured it turns into a blue flowered stem. If pulled out has no roots

 Great.

I had some pretty weeds growing in the back garden. They appeared last year (seemed to have spread from next door) and I managed to find out what they were - but I've forgotten. They have reappeared this year.

I had some blue, what I thought where plants but many years ago my dad said they where just weeds. Only seemed to appear in the crazy paving

I have to say some of the 'weeds flowers' are as good as the real thing

Indeed they are. Mine are very pretty but they do spread like wildfire, so I have to pull them out.

I think this gardening thing is a pain in the ar..bum
