Woohoo, Moonie's boiler is fixed. Heating and hot water again.

PB has gone home now. She was asleep when DiL dropped her off and didn't wake until 5pm. She was obviously feeling the effects of her jabs. Once she woke up, she was in fine form and ate her dinner. She was chattering/gabbling ten to the dozen before she went home.

Cuddleometer topped up to the max.

Hope your house is nice and cosy tonight, Moonie.

Off for a bath and a read, goodnight and sweet dreams.

Night owl hugs for Summer and Ros.

It can't have been a quick & easy job. I hope it doesn't break down again for a long time

I don't know what it was either Sweet and I have seen it

It had to be fitted right at the back of the boiler so he had to virtually strip it down

Moonie

Good morning, everyone. Low cloud but dry weather atm.

@ the idea of Ros hovering around the workmen. I always ask what was wrong with things too, even though most times I don't have a clue what they are talking about.

I need to go grocery shopping today and to get the neon tetras for the fish tank.

Have a good day, everyone.

They may have been referring to the Tetragrammaton (the ancient Greek for four letters).

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tetragrammaton

The ancient Greek for the numerical prefix for three is tri as in triangle.

5 penta, 6 hexa, 7 hepta, 8 octa, 9 ennea, 10 deca

Well done on missing the rain It's started here, fairly light at present but it's expected to get heavier and stay wet until early evening.

This thread is very educational indeed.

I have purchased the neon tetras (Squiggle, I bought a small shoal of 6) and they are now swimming happily in the tank.

While I was waiting for the guy to 'catch' the fish, I was watching a pair of big angel fish which were trying to get to some guppies in the next tank. The guy said they would eat the guppies if they were in the same tank! I don't like angel fish - eldest son had a pair, and they killed everything else he put into the tank.

I've done my grocery shopping and some jam tarts fell into my trolley.

 <- tarts for everyone.

Another piece of information I just acquired from the television...Fingernails grow quicker toenails

I hope you aren't overdoing things Sweet *wags finger*

Fankoo. It was nice waking up to a warm house this morning

See you later

They ought to be called Devil Fish.

I think the they may have been called Angel Fish due to they way they look, rather than how they behave.

And working upwards from tridecanol there's tetradecanol (C14H30O)

Then going downwards frron undecanol eventually there's ethanol (C2H6O or C2H5OH) which some of us are known to have consumed though combined with other chemicals

They are thugs Yogi, I thought they were beautiful peaceful fish when we bought them, little did I know.  Siamese Fighting Fish on the other hand are lovely peaceful fish as long as there is only one, if there are two they will fight.  Thanks for the tarts

Isn't it strange that their names in no way reflect their behaviour?

You are welcome to the tarts - and no calories involved.
