I wouldn't have it any other way, Moonie.

Good morning everyone. Weather is dry and overcast.

Summer, you were an early bird this morning! Hope you are feeling loads better and your day at work isn't too tiring.

Having a quick cup of tea before PB and Harv's arrival. PB has breakfast at home but likes to have a bit of toast with granny, too.

Have a good day, everyone, see you later.

Yogi19

Good morning everyone

It's going to be a very showery day here today.

I saw that Alien advert and wondered why a perfume would be called Alien. I reckon the best perfume advert on at present is this one:

That's the full length 2 minute version. It is very classy indeed. It was directed by Guiseppe Tournatore, the director of Cinema Paradiso. Those of you who have a good ear for film music will realise that the music was composed by Ennio Moricone who wrote it for this advert.

El Loro

My film tip for the day is Destry Rides Again on ITV4 starting at 1.20 pm. This is the 1939 film starring James Stewart and Marlene Dietrich. It was remade years later as Destry starring Audie Murphy.

It's one of the best westerns ever made and is one of the few westerns made which is worth watching by people who wouldn't normally watch westerns. The fight scene between Marlene Dietrich and Una Merkel is fantastic and the best fight between 2 women in films. (By a coincidence The Quiet Man is on More 4 aaround the same time and that has the best fight between 2 men in films).

El Loro

Squiggle, I think the weather in my area is very similar to yours, lovely in betwen the showers. I like your blossom picture

I've just eaten an apple, the first in quite some time. That's because of that front tooth having been eroded so much at the back that it was painful biting into one. Now that the tooth is crowned I can bite into apples without any pain

El Loro

Good afternoon Buddies

We have had gales and sun but no rain yet. I have already washed and dried a line of washing

Sweet, I hope you are feeling much better and looking after yourself at work. Plenty to eat and drink

Yogi, hoping you are having a lovely day with PB and getting oodles of cuddles I bet Harv and Kiera are enjoying themselves too

Hi El, We are promised heavy rain here in the West Midlands this afternoon. So all my shopping is now done and will be on my third live TV footie match at 12-45

Squiggle, love that piccie. Hope you are getting more dry than wet weather

Have a great day everyone. Back later

Yep, its usually a good 'watching day' on Saturday El

Presumably the first two must be foreign matches as I'm not aware of any home matches in the morning.

Yep, quite right El
The Australian A-League, their equivalent of our Premier League

Moonie

Moonie, I was looking at the Australian A League table and the format of how the champions are determined. Unless I've misunderstood it each club plays 3 times each season against the other clubs. As there are 10 clubs the main season has 27 games. Then there's the playoffs between the top 6 clubs in 3 rounds with the top 2 clubs getting byes to the second round so 3 rounds in all. Looking at the table Melbourne Hearts are in 9th place but if they win their remaining 4 matches could get into the top 6 so could still become the champions. So even though it's nearly the end of the season any 9 of the 10 clubs could become champions. A strange format

Yes, very strange El It seems like several top leagues have a system where by you you may win the league but not be the champions. I am a little too
