Feathers may fly this afternoon if the football match between "The Robins" and "The Robins" goes ahead - that;s Cheltenham v Swindon. Cheltenham's match on Tuesday was postponed due to a water logged pitch.

Good morning everyone

Slim you might be interested in "Mr. Malcolm's List" (2022) this afternoon om BBC Two. It's not a Jane Austen adaptation but could be. The leads are played by Freida Pinto who is Indian and Sop Dirisu a British actor from a Nigerian family..
Slim, a couple of films during the coming week on the Talking Pictures tv channel.
On Wednesday at 10.00 am is "The Triumph of Sherlock Holmes" (1935). Holmes was played by Arthur Wontner who made five Holmes films before Basil Rathbone became Holmes. The British actor (not the creator of James Bond) Ian Fleming played the part of Dr Watson - his Watson is more serious than the Nigel Bruce one.
The film is more stagey than the Rathbone ones.
On Friday at 3.05 in the morning is "The Miracle of the Bells" (1948). It's a serious film about a press agent Fred MacMurray who represents an actress Alida Valli who only made one film. He's trying to get that film promoted in the States by asking the local churches to ring their bells for 3 days. It's a straight drama and is worth watching.
Possibly the best scene is where MacMurray and Valli go for a Christmas Eve meal in a Chinese restaurant which apparently was not rehearsed./
The film which had been made was a version of "Joan of Arc" Valli looks slightly like Ingrid Bergman whose film "Joan of Arc" was released later that year.
Some photos on the BBC site of the comet seen by some yesterday evening:

It's the same comet as the one in the short clip on the BBC site I posted a few days ago. The magnitude increased since which is why the photos in the link I posted are better than that clip. Magnitude has passed its peak.
Good afternoon Buddies
Cold but dry here
That makes a change
Enjoy your day everyone

Here's a copilot poem just created called "Slimfern and the Shining Star"
In a forest deep where shadows play,
A slimfern sways in gentle sway.
Beneath the canopy, so green and vast,
It whispers secrets of the past.
Above, a star begins to gleam,
Casting light like a silver stream.
It dances on the fernâs soft fronds,
Creating a world of magic bonds.
The slimfern dreams of distant skies,
Reflecting starlight in its eyes.
A silent song, a cosmic dance,
A moment caught in natureâs trance.
Together they weave a tale so bright,
Of earth and sky in perfect light.
A slimfern and a shining star,
Bound by dreams, no matter how far.

Recent research shows that over half the calls received on landlines are from scammers. Wont't be a surprise to anyone who has a landline.

There must be a way for the phone companies to identify where the calls are coming from and then cut them off permanently at source...
