I have had a parcel delivered to a neighbour. So far I have tried the door 4 or 5 times. On two occasions i could see lights on and tonight I could hear TV noise. I used my keys and banged real hard - hard enough to wake the devil !!!

Been on Amazon and I cannot find anywhere to report it. Been through loads of menus and Googled.

Dies anyone know where to register this situation I am in?

Ta.

BTW - the only thing that will 'help' is a solution

The multinationals don't seem particularly interested in solutions for individuals in my experience.

If you can't make contact with your neighbour file a claim.

Oh heck EC ....have you still not managed to get it !!! Complain , loudly and vociferously!!!

Tonight I tried again and I could not have knocked louder.

The problem is that it's a rented flat and they seem to have new tenants every 6 months. This guy is new.

Much the same happened to my sister - she called and said she couldn't retrieve the package and Amazon just sent another one.    I've had a similar thing (website said 'delivered' - it wasn't, but turns out the postman was pulling a fast one and submitted all his deliveries as sent THEN delivered them)   I called, said the website showed 'delivered' but it wasn't - no questions asked, resent the stuff and the cheating postie turned up three hours later with the original    TBH (unless it's something hugely expensive) they don't seem to bother investigating and just send the parcel out again.    Probably cheaper for them.

True story ...

Was asked to visit an old lady during my 'elderly care' days, who was reluctant to answer her door.

I was told she would be more responsive if I sang through her letter box - I kid you not.

I suggested if she refused to answer I could start singing,

"I'm a fire starter - twisted fire starter"

Over to you EC - and I really hope that helps

Glad you got it sorted EC, i find in situations where no will be home a designated trustworthy neighbour mentioned as alternative option on the delivery is a good idea... Either that or alot of ppl just have things delivered to work

The problem with my neighbours Jen is that they are mostly renters and I rarely get to meet them. I actually thought a couple was living at this particular address as I have taken a parcel for them, but they must have left recently.

I used to have items delivered to work but only this month they issued an email saying we should not now do it as it constitutes a security risk!

I have also used the 'drop off and collect' from my post office, which is my preferred method, but Amazon seem to allow certain items and not others, most frustrating.

Another attempt (5 minutes ago) has proved fruitful.

Finally got my hands on the parcel, 1 week and 1 day late !!!

Now I have to get in touch with Amazon to send back the replacement disc (which arrived Friday) and to pay back the cash they refunded me. TBF I'm more than happy to do that as I have my hands on the goodies, and one of them has increased in price by ÂĢ6 so still saved me money.

Thanks for the advice. ^
