50 years of Capitalism has brought us to this, if all the billionaires and millionaires disappeared tomorrow the country would just carry on. If all the minimum wagers disappeared tomorrow, the country would grind to a halt. I've watched in despair the last few years, it's been like Turkeys voting for Christmas. I'm really looking forward to the new revised prediction for gas and electric of ÂĢ6,000 a year by summer 2023, which I know I will struggle to pay, although there are millions worse off than me., probably thousands will die.

Now it looks like another lunatic will be dragging us further into misery.

I'll wait until hell freezes over for just one benefit from Brexit, remember project fear, it's now project fact! It's taken 50 to clean up our rivers and beaches, gone in a surge of effluent being pumped into our waterways... give me the EU any day!

Hope you're well, Velvet

Absolutely, Dame Ann.  I strongly believe that Brexit has been a disaster for this country and fear there is worse to come with the lowering of imported food standards, the erosion of workers’ rights etc.  It will, no doubt, be a wonderful money-making opportunity, though, for the disaster capitalist vultures who will feed off of the remains of the businesses that have been and will be destroyed.  Add to this the deliberate running of the NHS into the ground and it seems inconceivable that anyone could vote for this incompetent shower of self-serving charlatans ever again.  But they will.

I totally agree Just, even if they don't vote Tories, I can't see anything changing if the LP were leading the Country under its current leader. It maybe slightly better (I still have me doubts) but Starmer is part of the establishment, he lied to the membership in the leadership contest. Funded by Israeli backers, advised by Blair and Mandelson, and a member of the Trilateral Commission...it's very depressing

As for Brexit, I still find the result unbelievable. I suppose closing our borders was worth decades of pain if we ever recover. Our children and grandchildren won't have the luxury of travelling and working in Europe, they won't have the luxury of free health care, I can't see any way to reverse the damage especially over the last 12 years with the leaders we have on offer at this moment in time.

Personally, I think most of the cabinet should be in court on corruption charges, it will never happen though.
