I took a video up my local park today with the intention of posting it on the forum.

I got as far as getting it onto the forum via a post but it wouldn’t play bar the first frame.

I used my new iPhone 12 Pro to take the video. It’s running at HD 30...30fps.

It runs on my iPhone and iPad. Both are running Apple’s iOS 14.2.

It also runs on my laptop running the Linux OS.

Any suggestions?

Can you try reloading the browser page?

If that doesn't work, trying closing the browser altogether, and reopening before you try to play it. I suspect this is something specific to your computer.

I have tried both of your suggestions and it still won’t play. I am on my iPad. It does play on my laptop as I said in my opening post

OK, I went to check our testing site (where we can choose the device, browser, version, etc), and I see they don't even HAVE the 12 Pro, yet, so I can't test it there. Looks like it's only been out since October 23rd.

Until the tech industry catches up with Apple, you might try the air drop thing I mentioned above. Also, we've talked about a lot of things, here, but have you tried uploading to the laptop, and THEN to the forum?

Also, maybe experiment with the camera setting to see if that makes any difference? Try the 720p at 30 fps, for instance.

Sorry I don't have an answer for you, but you are apparently too cutting-edge for us!

That was my first try

There are only two settings on the iPhone 12 Pro, 30 fps and 60 fps

Lori, thanks for all your effort, much appreciated

Yeah, I was pretty sure it was your new phone and our software that is causing the problem. I will raise the issue on my end and see if anyone can shed some light on it.

So, the bottom line is that when you upload from your phone, it can be viewed via a standard browser, but not on an iPad or an iPhone, correct? Or is it only viewable because you uploaded it via your laptop?

That’s correct
