I wonder if that's more on a local level - people have been rather helpful round our way too.

Yet nationally i feel people are looking out for their business ahead of common sense, their wedding, holiday, I've heard from many delivery staff that Tesco/ASDA etc are madness and no one is observing any type of rule.

Students admitting to much  the same on TV interviews.

Local councillors refusing to apply Government rules

And even the Gov ignoring Health advice

Actually Rents, I think that covid is bringing out the good side in people ... people are helping each other, shopping for each other, looking out for each other ... in all this madness it is the one thing that is good really x

Hi Rexi I think that might have been true at the start , but Iā€™m not sure it is any more . .I donā€™t drive ....certainly wouldnā€™t use public transport , and still canā€™t walk very far because of this darn ankle . But apart from right at the start of the pandemic , no one has offered to get any shopping etc. or even popped round to see if Iā€™m ok .  I saw a couple of friends outside over the summer and I get a family text about every 10 days to a fortnight to see if Iā€™m alright ....and thatā€™s it . Luckily , Iā€™m internet savvy and have been having my shopping delivered for several years now , and my forum friends ...several of who, have become rl friends .....check on me daily , but my heart goes out to elderly people who donā€™t have those resources , and who like me are too afraid to go out .

Gosh ... I want to reply to Bazā€™s post, but I canā€™t see how to reply on this new layout!

  • i Facetime my mum every day, see her twice a week, and do her shopping once a week. Everyone I know (apart from my brother and sister, but thatā€™s another story) is looking out for each other. We have given all our elderly neighbours our phone number ... nearly had a fit when the phone rang at 7am today ... bladted Amazon Prime scam call!

  • (Where have these bullet points come from!)

Rexi, to reply to a post, go to that post. At the right hand side of the screen you will see a star type thing. Tap/click on that and you will have three options. Pick ā€˜reply with quotes.ā€™ Tap/click that and reply

Thanks moonman x I clicked it, nothing happened. I clicked it very aggressively about 10 times, and the options came up! Daft question, not for you but for the PTB ... why not just have a Reply button?

Hope you are well moons xxx

Hi Rexi, I agree, and perhaps we are noticing more the 'little' 'kind' acts that people have 'always' done but never really thought about, but we are all now noticing and smiling and appreciating.....xxx
