Monty and Titch are good offerings

But which one?

Felicity Kendal - Penelope Keith?

Titchmarsh is my favourite

Penelope Keith seemed to have more roles(although mostly snobby social climber) and is more recognisable

I can understand most ( though not my choice) but Monty instead of titchmarsh?  I would say Monty is too “recent”. and no Penelope Keith 😱😱

What do people think of Penelope Keith?

Should the Queen go in there?

Yes to all three,  titchmarsh from pebble mill, loved a long time, a national treasure, the same for Penelope and the queen

Ooh JK Rowling?

No! she can absolutely get stuffed!

She hates the SNP and takes some vitriol for it.

Not read one of her books but I applaud her for for staying put in Barnton.

JK is alright

I don't like Mary Berry either Baz. She's a five star snob

Hi Velvet I used to like her ...but just recently I find her judging seems quite biased , and that put me off

Baz

Afternoon Baz

I can't say I've ever taken to her. It's not just us and them - just too aloof

Delia on the piss would run rings round her. Delia is grounded, ask Cornelian - our resident Norwich fan

Yes to Monty, The Queen and Penelope.

Not overly keen on Titchmarsh

There are quite a few on the list I am not keen on but they could be considered “national treasures”,  I don’t rate Monty as a treasure whilst titchmarsh has longevity on his side a quality needed for national treasure status

Put it this way.....she's no Gena Rowlands.

UK only i'm afraid

Criteria can't be if we 'like/dislike' someone - I don't agree with some on the list meself

We need one more woman - thought Joan may have been popular.

Any other suggestions to complete our 25?

Shirley Bassey ?

Joan Hickson?

Joan Hickson is a wonderful suggestion and would have gone in but sadly she passed away some time ago. June Whitfield would also have been included but is no longer with us.

Shirley Bassey is a great suggestion - better than Joan Collins??

I loved both Joan hickson and June Whitfield ....but not sure either Bassey or Collins should be in there . How about Maggie Smith ?

Aaah @Baz i was waiting for that name

Dunno where but i've got the impression she can be quite prickly, not sure if it's true though.

Is she endearing - you're right J. Collins and S. Bassey may not qualify in the endearing.

BUT hasn't Shirley Bassey hob-knobbed with Royalty and sang for them?

She may qualify

It's a toughie
