Some do Moonie. I grant you not a lot but there are some. And besides, it's this government that's put it in to action. People dying on the streets because they're being thown out of their houses unable to pay the rent, people dying and being pronounced fit for work. Working people using food banks. It's just not right. Labour will stop it and reform.

and why not Moonie, have you read the Labour Party manifesto? By the way which was fully costed and proven to be correct.

I am going to try make this as clear as I can on party policy, Corbyn  does not make all LP policies... The NEC decide what policies we are going to have, this is done at the Annual conference, I was a town delegate, that gave me a right to vote at Constituency level meetings that are once a month and attended by our MP...we appoint delegates to go to conference and vote on which policies we are agreeable to or not. This is how policies are decide, this is how the Manefesto was decided...out sourcing would go, it's costing more to starve people than what it's saving. This isn't about fairness, it's about destroying the welfare system...most of those people are in work low wage earners.

Everyone I ask seem to think, either he's a commie, a Marxist, a terrorist sympathizer or an anti-semite all of which to put it bluntly, is utter sh*te. I keep out of political threads because the stuff that is said in them comes right off the right wing propaganda pages...I am neither a follower, member of a cult, hard left, militant..I couldn't give two hoots who leads the labour party as long as it's not a blairite, we don't go back to being tory red and we stick to a socialist agenda.

Corbyn is this, Corbyn is that....

1) 120,00 people haven't died due to Corbyn, that's due to Austerity and the Tory Party

2) 21,000 police cut and 71% cuts to youth services and we wonder why crime is up.

3) Carers slightly overpaid by the DWP by the DWP's own mistake, the DWP hound them...while Vodophone get off with a 5 billion tax bill.

4) Trump waiting to deal with the most incompetent Government in history and grab the NHS, that's why the Brexit deal is stuck...May won't take the deal off the table.

5) People waiting weeks for UC payments, not being able to feed their children

I could go on and on....but I doubt it will make the slightest difference, I just wanted to clarify some points. People mistake hope for a cult, but most of us on here don't have the same struggle has the unemployed or low paid and I find empathy in Britain seems to have done a bunk. I listened to a conversation last night and one UKipper and one Tory said that no one needed food banks and most sell the contents for drugs, have they seen what's in those bags for one person for three days, they would be lucky to sell it for a packet of cigarettes

Now, I'll go back to keeping my mouth firmly shut

Why?   Let's see Labours outside interests compared to the Torys.

I basically kept out of this yesterday cos it was Gaga party time ....in the best sense of the word  However .....as they say on GReat British Menu  ....

Dame , you and I agreed to differ about our politics many , many years ago , but I have to take issue with the highlighted part , because quite frankly I’m sick of having that assumption continually bandied about .  It suggests that anyone who doesn’t agree with Labours / Corbyns policies/views hasn’t got the nous to work out when a bias is going on and , speaking for myself,  I find that quite offensive.  As I’ve said ad infinitum  , these days I don’t read newspapers of any persuasion .....and while I do watch/listen to various news channels I try to go further than accepting mere sound bites ! In fact during the Brexit debates ....and sometimes during  PMQs etc  ....I actually watch/listen live .....therefore, I get my views straight from the various horses mouth  .

So , please , disagree with my politics , but don’t presume that,  because I won’t be swayed  , I am either thick, or indeed lack empathy . The bottom line is that I have simply weighed up the various pros and cons and come to a different conclusion.

I would never infer that anyone was thick and there certainly is a massive lack of empathy from the Tory party, they don't care about the poverty and suffering they are inflicting on the the poorest in society whilst doling out billions of tax cuts to the richest. I maybe should have worded it better and I apologise for that, but I would never intentionally make digs at FM's and I'm a tad upset that you think I was personally attacking you  My experience in RL is most people get their opinion from the Sun, BBC, Daily mail and yes, people do fall for the bias and the same old beating drum without realising it, that does not imply they are thick.

I have seen the words, militant, cult, fanatical support on this forum and that is what I meant about straight off the right wing pages. I also get fed up with being called part of a cult, which is clearly what the right wing media imply and is totally untrue. I would be quiet happy for Corbyn to stand down and someone else take over providing they stick to the same agenda... in fact, I would rather he stand down because how the hell he copes with the lies and mudslinging day after day astounds me.

I know exactly why you won't vote for Corbyn, although I disagree with what you say about taking us back to the 70's, but that is your opinion I accept that. So I can only apologise if you thought I was meaning you...  PS...getting it straight from Theresa May's mouth, I take my hat off to you because I have yet to hear her answering a question

Dame I didn’t think you were particularly singling me out ....I was just trying to make the point that some sweeping generalisations are often made in these threads .....and I was using the pronoun “I “ because I am the only one I can truly speak for  . While I can understand how fed up you get about some of the mud slung at JC supporters , I hope you can see that it’s equally galling to have to listen to the ‘all Tories are evil ‘ brigade . My position is ....and has always been .....that no political party is blameless , conversely no political party has all the answers . What is really needed is for politicians of all persuasions to stop mud slinging , act like grown ups and put aside their own personal aspirations to work together ....but sadly  I don’t believe in fairies either

As for listening to TM , or any other politician I admit I’m a glutton for punishment  But we 10 year badge folks are nothing if not resilient

Baz

I agree with most of what you said Baz and I think most people on here have made sweeping generalisations, I should have added in my personal experience...

UC Austerity and Brexit are all down to the Conservatives and they have to own it. I can't see any coming together of parties as long as TM is in charge,,,she's not budging from her stance and even her own MP's aren't on the same page as her.

Anyway, that's me avoiding political threads for awhile again
