Looks like a Canaletto.

it does. Canaletto did many paintings of London and it's probable that some of those have been used as covers for Handel's Water Music over the years.

Album covers: In no order!

Enthusiastic Contrafibularities

I'm coming into this late and I'm not sure I can contribute all that much, but as before I've collated the various answers from this thread, with a few additions.

[I'm splitting it into three posts to keep things relatively tidy...]

Part 1:

1) Éponine

2) South Pacific

3) The musical moved the story to Buffalo, N.Y., and the character in it is Dave Bukatinsky, but in the original film he’s Dave Horsefall.

4) 709 performances (from Wiki)

5) Jesus in “Godspell”

6) Leisl, Friedrich, Louisa, Kurt, Brigitta, Marta and Gretl

7) “Your Eyes”

8) “Mama, I’m a Big Girl Now” from “Hairspray”

9) ?

10) Best Choreography – “Annie”

Eugene's Lair

Part 2:

1) "…and the fall through the air of the true, wise friend called Piggy." – “Lord of the Flies” by William Golding

2) Becky Thatcher

3) Pennywise

4) “Northern Lights” by Phillip Pullman (The book was actually called “The Golden Compass” in the States.)

5) World War II (It’s about US airmen in the Italian Campaign.)

6) “Frankenstein; or, The Modern Prometheus” by Mary Shelley

7) “Midnight’s Children” by Salman Rushdie

8) On an island, with Pan (the Greek God). The Wind in the Willows” by Kenneth Grahame

9) Pirate: Long John Silver – although as El Loro says there are other pirates, and I'm not sure I’d single him out as the “evil” one. Pub: Jim Hawkins and his mother run the Admiral Benbow Inn, but note that Silver also runs a tavern – the Spy-glass (I’m not sure it’s ever directly named as such, but the pub sign is a telescope).

10) His “Sunday clothes”.

I found the "Classical" albums a real problem here. These sorts of albums generally don't have "names", but just list the pieces - and there can be several of them! Also what's the "Band" in these cases - composer or musicians?

I've (more-or-less) identified two of them, but the other two remain a bit vague...

Part 3:

1) “Script for a Jester’s Tear” - Marillion

2) ? (This one’s annoying me, as I recognize it, but can’t put a name to it.)

3) “Year of the Cat” - Al Stewart

4) “Rumours” - Fleetwood Mac

5) Going by the artists, this must be Bach’s Concerto for Four Harpsichords. From the similar image here - http://ecx.images-amazon.com/i...Q7T99HFL._SX300_.jpg - it’s the Bach Concertos for 3 and 4 Harpsichords by those 4 musicians and The English Concert.

6) From the image, I would guess Grieg – Piano Concerto and/or Peer Gynt. Failing that: Sibelius - Finlandia?

7) I agree with El Loro - this must be a recording of Handel’s Water Music. Goodness knows who by, though…

8) The picture is of Edward Elgar. Going by https://images.991.com/large_i...mp+and+Ci-533151.jpg, it’s an album by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra of various works: “Enigma Variations”, “Pomp and Circumstance” and Marches.

9) “Tonight I’m Yours” – Rod Stewart

10) “Lionheart” - Kate Bush

11) “Johnny the Fox” - Thin Lizzy

12) ?

13) “American Pie” – Don McLean

14) “Seventh Son of a Seventh Son” – Iron Maiden

Got album cover #12: it's "Animal Magnetism" - Scorpions

Also; a quick google says that the answer to Part 1, #9 is: 230 costumes.

http://www.thephantomoftheopera.com/facts-figures/

So: barring double-checking, I think we still need album cover #2, and some clarification of the classical albums...

FWIW, finally confirmed that album cover #7 is Handel's Water Music:

If we have to list the performers as well as the composer, it's worth noting that the conductor was Yehudi Menuhin, so it's a fairly significant recording.

[Also rather amusing that it's the Bath Festival Orchestra performing the "Water Music"...  ]

Still can't nail cover #2 - if anyone can identify it, please put me out of my misery as it's starting to drive me up the wall!
