That's correct: he's done other things since, but he's still best known as Cat from "Red Dwarf".
A little tip here: expect some of the early "smart money" to go on Danny, because although he's now known as an actor, he - just like last year's finalist Debbie McGee - started his career as a professional dancer. 
He appeared in lots of West End shows, including the original production of "Starlight Express"...
