It should be fine.

Thanks Delia Yogi ... I shall let you know x

I checked with hubby and he says, make sure it's thoroughly defrosted, put some holes in it with a skewer, add the brandy and it will be fine.

If he's wrong, I'll happily whack him on your behalf.

I’m almost tempted to say it’s rubbish if you promise to take pics of the whacking, and post them (so long as no husbands were harmed in tne makings of this thread etc) !!

Hubby and I have been to buy what hubby refer to as β€œdry goods” for Christmas.

I now have two big boxes of foodstuff and I need to find somewhere to plank it, out of sight of the grandchildren.

I remember when my nephew and niece where small. We had to resort to leaving  gifts with our neighbours

As PB and BB stay on sleepovers and have taken over one spare room, and use my other spare room as their toy room, we had to resort to keeping their Christmas gifts up in the loft last year.

That sounds like a great plan to me assuming the little ones aren’t into mountain climbing

Fluffy socks and bath bombs sound good to me Sweet ...only 43 sleeps  to go....and lots of Xmas adverts and movies on tv

I've bought cards, most of the presents, baked three Christmas cakes, two are decorated now. On with my second batch of Christmas Pudding flavour vodka, bought some gorgeous little gingerbread house glass bottles to decant it in to for gifts. Probably will have the tree up by Friday next week as we're having a bit of a bash for Mr Cinds 50th birthday.  Then come the following Monday our house will descend in to chaos for a while as I have bought Mr Cinds a Golden Retriever for his birthday.  He doesn't know about it, but we have already discussed at length about getting a new addition & were waiting until the house was finished. Can't wait to see how Angus & Gloria react to a pesky pup

Gosh you’ve been busy Cinds Do you think the tree will survive the puppy though

Haha only time will tell.  I maybe should have bought one of those you hang off the ceiling for this year.

She's a proper minx.  The girl who I've bought her off keeps sending me videos & photographs. There's 9 puppies but only one has learned how to climb the pen walls like a ladder to make an escape, guess who that one is going to belong to?

I've bought a stuffed toy dog that I've been leaving around the house when Mr C isn't in to see how the other 2 react.  Gloria will have a sniff & lie next to it, but Angus keeps picking it up & taking it away.

Jolly ho-ho-ho help required for Xmas

I'm looking for 2 CD's of music - Xmas music

Do you have a suggestion?

I want one CD of classic choir Christmas songs.

And another of classic Christmas songs by the likes of Bing Crosby (but it doesn't have to be by anyone famous)

Just wondering if you had a favourite CD you swear by each year?
