At the moment it is 15.5 x 12 inches. Finished article should be a bit bigger!

It is now 19.5" by 16.5"

It’s lovely but is it getting a life of its own as it’s getting bigger? 

Started off as 15 stiches x 5 stiches, it is now 79 stiches x 69 stitches as it is being crocheted in the round. So each round adds 2 stiches to each dimension,

I'm still better at knitting than crochet - overall, because of the way the op affected me........and I haven't done any crocheting for years because of how awkward it was, compared to knitting.

If anyone is interested enough, they can go to a site called 'Love Knitting'. I am BethD there and you can see some of my knitting, including what I've posted here.

I know this is not knitting...but it is currently occupying all of my free time—a baby quilt for one of my choir friends: 

i just got it pinned with the batting and backing yesterday afternoon, and started to quilt it. I hope to finish before the baby graduates high school. 😬

Well, crochet is not knitting either! So I've changed the title to CRAFTING rather than Knitting!

I know the feeling! I've had to abandon some of the things I was making/going to make for Elizah, because she has outgrown them already!

I always saw the project and hence the finished garment as a long term project, likely to be completed after my retirement. Given that I have over a decade left in work, that may be a few years yet. 

I know exactly what you mean! I have a "ten-year sweater" that may possibly be going on 15 years, at this point...I have no idea if I'll even be interested in it once I'm in an old folks home.

As I haven't managed to get the baby hoodie in time I was thinking I might use the yarn I bought for that, to do a cable cardigan as it has more sizes than the hoodie.

It comes up quite green on my iPad screen 

Must just be my pc then, 'cos it looks quite pale and almost bluish to me and the pink doesn't really show as pink at all!

I can see pink, green , blue ( 2 shades ?) and white

3 shades of green - dark green with white flecks, lime green with white flecks and pale creamy green with white flecks.

2 shades of brown - Darkish brown with white flecks and intermittent short stretches of white and pale orangey-brown with white flecks and intermittent short stretches of white.

1 shade of pink - This also has white flecks and intermittent white stretches.

No other colours
