And now this gay thing - they say it's no big deal so why are they making such a big deal about it?

And being female - not an issue there, it may be the shot in the arm it needs but LGTB - jeez

It's cheapening the brand (as if it could get any worse) by desperately pandering to social worker, tree hugging, lentil eating lesbians

Oh you know what I mean - it's so unnecessary

It's the worst type of desperate pandering to popular cultural pressure to seem trendy

wow....if I could be bothered to have an issue with this drivel I would...I'll just ask my tree hugging lesbian daughter why she wasn't chosen to play the part  I suppose her answer would be she didn't want to cheapen the brand Renton.

Come on you know i'm saying it with humour

To be fair Saint, it doesn't come across that way

Sings,

"If you don't know me by now, you will never, never, never know meeee"

I suppose everyone to their own, but it just seems you have a problem with LGBT people, by your previous posts

Whereas, the only way I have a problem with it is if they are physically harming people, but then again that can be said of all peeps in this world

Wasn't sure about resurrecting this thread after such a long gap, however...

Just watched my recording of tonight's episode - well creepy!

I thought the first couple of episodes had loads of good ideas but were rather rushed (and IMO "Pilot" in particular suffered from too many production "ticks"). However the series seems to be settling into it's stride, and I'm rather enjoying it.

'Pilot', I felt was a bit a propos of nothing. Episodes 2 & 3 were good though, back in the right 'Dr Who' vein. I was a little disappointed with this week's episode, as I felt it was a step backwards. A little bit creepy perhaps - but not Eugene's 'Well Creepy'.

I guess I'm just a sucker for a "haunted house" story!

Have you tried out the special "binaural" version on iPlayer? it does emphasise all those creaks and scratches...

I've still got last week's and last night's to watch - have to say I'm enjoying the series so far.    I'm not minding Bill as an assistant and I thought I would as I have an averstion to grown woman who wear bows in their hair....

I think you'll enjoy those episodes too, Kaffs. As the Radio Times have said, there seems to be a deliberate attempt this series to get back to "solid, straightforwardly enjoyable adventures". That said (and without going into spoiler territory), there's a big twist at the end of Ep. 5 which could have major repercussions.
