Some fans of Toblerone's distinctive triangular chocolate chunks are feeling down in the mouth after the look of two bars sold in the UK was changed.

Mondelez International, the company behind the product, has increased the gap between the peaks to reduce the weight of what were 400g and 170g bars.

Some consumers have described the move as "the wrong decision" and said the bigger spaces looked "stupid".

Mondelez said the move was down to the rise in the cost of ingredients.

They are going back to the original shape:

" Asked whether falling sales were behind the return to the original shape, Mondelez said sales of the 150g bar increased after the shape was changed and 2017 was a "fantastic year" for Toblerone ".

It does raise the question of why they would revert back to the original shape when sales are so good!

Again, I feel a strong smell of bu**s**t. It does not ring true to me. Come on Mondelez, be honest for once.

Enthusiastic Contrafibularities

Basically..... they have slapped an interface designed for tablets and mobiles onto ALL platforms and thus have destroyed some of the good things that the PC version had. Also the 'NEW AND IMPROVED' version will change the default settings of your PC, ruining both the video and audio quality. Fortunately these settings can be manually reset, but it's not immediately obvious HOW to do it and WHERE TO GO to do it.
