I'm currently watching a new series All You Can Eat: Secrets of the World's Mega Buffet. On Channel 5.

It's focusing on the business and how it runs as opposed the the eating habits of their customers. It really is quite fascinating and staggering in equal measure how much it is like a military operation. The fact that they have decent chef's and the sheer quantity of food and drink they go through in a week.

It gave the impression that the people cooking were chefs and they were cooking from fresh ingredients. Using seasonal when they can. The amount of money the business takes each day is mind blowing though.!!

Approximately Ā£20 per head. Serving around 2000-2500 people per day. With a max stay of 1h 45m. They were queuing out the door.

Only Connect

How close was that ???

Still unable to watch the show "live", so only just caught up:

Yeah: you're not kidding!  I was just thinking before the show that it's surprising we haven't had a tie-breaker yet this series, considering how close many of the results have been so far...

Sorry to see the Journeymen go, and I must admit that I also fell for "Chick" instead of "Chaka" in the last missing vowel clue which cost them the game...

I've still not managed a 5-pointer this series, but I was quite chuffed at getting two 3-pointers in a row in the "Connections" round: the "1/1 = O" question and the one about coloured bands...

Yes, I wanted them to win too.

I should have got the colour bands question right as I did a HND in electronics and Electrical Engineering.

A good show though. Really enjoyed it. They both struggled with the 'wall'!

*rubs hands in anticipation*

Watching "live" for the first time in ages.

I'm annoyed with myself over the "Romeo and Juliet" question, EC:

I should have got it on the first clue, but I convinced myself it must be more complicated than that...

Hi Eugene,

I did quite well (by my standards) tonight.

I had worked out in my head that Peter, Peter, Pumpkin was a rhyme, but I did not know the end of it.

Then I was gifted the Bond question as I had spotted the link was Moneypenny. I do like my Bonds..

Then on the wall I had spotted the crime dramas. As soon as I had seen Spender, Pie in the Sky and Cracker, it was quite easy.

Final round, Sam was on fire!
