Ooh! Ooh! Just seen the teaser trailer on BBC2:

The new series of "Fleabag" starts Monday the 4th of March.

YES!!!!

Never heard of it Eugene

Phoebe Waller-Bridge's golden ticket. She'd appeared in the 2nd series of "Broadchurch" (which was enough to generate rumours that she'd be the next Doctor Who), but it was "Fleabag" - adapted from her own one-woman play - that really got her noticed. Since the first series she's gone on to appear in "Solo: A Star Wars Story", and to write and produce "Killing Eve".

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt5687612/?ref_=tt_urv

I have to say it won't be to everyone's taste: it's black as pitch (the story starts with Fleabag dealing with the aftermath of her best friend and business partner's suicide, and things go downhill from there...), and the humour is often not so much blue as downright filthy.

Still: I found it well observed, often very moving and frequently hilarious!

Oh that’s probably why I’ve never watched it then

Anyone part of the 7.8 million who watched  Line of Duty last night?

I’ve recorded it cos I like to watch several episodes at once , otherwise I lose the thread

Baz

In the run up to series 5 , ALL 4 previous seasons were available on the iPlayer......and I have watched them all. All 23.5 hours in 5 or 6 hour dolops!

So I am up to speed with it all.

Apparently the 7.8 million is only counting the 'live' viewers. The total viewers will likely be much greater if you were to add all those who will be viewing it on catch-up!

Just watched episode 2 of LoD - more questions than answers!

I love LoD,  it's action, suspense and intrigue, unmissable.

I am also enjoying Victoria, which is unusual for me because it has none of the above!

Love LoD ... haven’t got a scooby though!

Baz ... The Victim ... got totally confused after about 40 mins, the boy I thought had died was suddenly alive! I went to bed at that point!

Line Of Duty - I absolutely love it! ❤️

The Victim - best drama I’ve seen in a long time. Without giving away any spoilers, the last 15 minutes of episode 4 was fantastic. Brilliant acting - I felt like I had been through an emotional wringer.

Well that's LoD for you.

Don't expect anything to be resolved until the final episode - and given that a 6th series has been commissioned, I think it's a fair bet that quite a lot will still be left unresolved even then!

[BTW: loved the little in-reference for the fans in episode 2, with Tommy Hunter getting mentioned in passing... ]

I must admit that I've been a fan of Victoria from the beginning. Looking forward to tonight's episode, which is apparently going to feature one of my historical heroes: John Snow.

Oh yes: I really wasn't expecting that twist.

Actually, it could have been even more depressing...

The writers tried to give the episode a "bitter-sweet" ending by showing the handle of the water pump being removed. This is true; however in real life the authorities replaced it as soon as the epidemic subsided. They refused to publicly accept Snow's conclusions because they didn't think the public could cope with the notion that their water supply had been contaminated by a nearby cesspit...

As a general point; it's been a depressing week's viewing, as the scriptwriters seem to be determined to kill off my favourite characters.

I've just caught up with "The Widow", and at the end of the 2nd episode there was a big shock when a character I'd grown attached to was suddenly killed off.

And then there's LoD, and we all know Jed Mercurio will happily kill off major characters at the drop of a hat...

LoD,  did not see that coming until the last ten minutes, how can I wait until next week?!!

Could see the way the wind was blowing, but with Mercurio you can never be sure of the details. All I will say is that everyone seems to continually underestimate Lisa...

As a bit of a heads-up, it's apparently been confirmed that the series finale in two week's time will be 90 minutes long (you may remember that the finale of "Bodyguard" was extended too). Will probably discuss this more closer to the date...

Nooooo, you didn’t see that ending coming Eugene ... surely?

There again, I am sooo confused. I’d forgotten about Terry from previous series, so when the contents of his freezer were revealed I was a bit confused to say the least. However, I have done my homework today, and like machel, am wondering how I am going to wait till next week!

Oh, and, why is everyone thinking that Ted is H just because of how he spelled definitely? That computery woman said that they has been analysing posting styles, so surely he was just copying what had been posted before?

Not exactly; but let's just say that after certain events earlier in the episode, I was expecting a certain character to meet a sticky end - it was only a matter of when and how...

Well; Mercurio deliberately made sure that "H"'s old message including the word "definately" appeared in the "Previously..." montage at the start of the episode just so that fans would jump to that conclusion!

However; every "clue" so far suggesting that Hastings is "H" has an innocent explanation. As you say, they'd analysed the posting style, but also get this: I did a quick search online, and apparently "definately" is currently the most common misspelling in the English language!

I guarantee you that Mercurio didn't choose that particular mistake at random...

I just knew Lisa was going to turn on him ,(first thing I have sussed out!).  Is the wpc  with AC12 a bent cop?  I have my suspicions and I am not too sure about Hastings new love interest, especially since he has now rejected her.

Me too machel ... I am suspicious about them both.

Mind you, I am suspicious about everyone atm ... it means I can claim to be right when the series ends!!
