Where is the best place to chat if you don't get uk tv shows? Is it ok to come and chat?

It’s always okay to come for a chat, it doesn’t matter if you aren't watching the tv shows.  We’re such a small bunch nowadays, we just dip in and out of all the threads and, very often go off topic

That’s a phrase I haven’t heard for years Yogi

I think she gave it as she knew they understood the relationship and gave an answer, although odd, was still correct if it were a word...if you know what I mean.

I don't know if they've every discussed how they "mark" answers on OC (or if they would ever want to do so publicly) but I think Victoria is allowed some tolerance in what answers she can accept. From previous shows (and from what she said on this one), it sounds like she can accept a "questionable" answer if the team have clearly shown that they've understood the sequence and made a reasonable stab at an answer. In this case, they showed they'd solved the puzzle by adding consecutive "E"s and then forming an anagram - even if the answer they gave was a (dubious) phrase rather than a single word.

I don't know how common it is on other shows, but we know from comments Victoria has made previously on OC that the main question-setter goes over the questions with her at length before each show so that she (sort-of) understands the questions and what other answers are allowed if there are multiple possibilities. I vaguely remember a previous show where she accepted as an answer someone who's given and family names started with "D" (e.g. Dave Dee), instead of what she was expecting, which was a double-act whose names both started with "D", because the team were still following the "AA", "BB", "CC", "DD" sequence, which was the main point of the puzzle.

I had not considered how VC might spend time going over the questions beforehand, but it does make sense, but I will say, she is an excellent quizmaster/mistress!

I suspect you quite enjoyed the show as I thought they were two very good teams.

Just finished watching the Versace Assassination

Truly sad, a terrible culmination of events, utterly tragic.

Hard to believe it was true

But happy the name lives on in his fashion empire

Oh yes - brilliant contest.

The final 30-18 score seemed very unfair and even misleading, as both teams were so good.

Agreed, anyone looking at the score would think one team was dominant throughout. They had a very good final round though.

Did you see a previous episode where one team picked up 5 points on the first clue - brave indeed.

Two very cleverly-constructed walls, and it illustrates the level of paranoia at this stage of the game that both teams missed the obvious answers - ball sports, indeed!

I'm watching a programme about Nandos

They have a 'Black Card', which seems to be very exclusive, no one knows how to get one, you just receive it.

As far as I can see, they usually get sent to the rich and famous, precisely the people who can afford to pay for their food for a year.

You may try and build up this mythology, but I'm not buying it. In fact I have probably had about 3 Nandos in the last 5 years.
