The 'makeover' of the Harry and Meghan's cottage. Obscene amount of money spent. Also they used some of their 'own money', which is still the public purse.

Even more disgusting is that a newly laid carpet was trampled on by their dogs. The carpet being replaced shortly after.

I agree EC Disgusting ....not to mention crass !

"Coming up in the show tonight"

This is now common practice where a synopsis of the whole show is given at the beginning.

It only serves to ruin any enjoyment by revealing what is going to be shown.

You've tuned in anyway so there's no need to tempt you in.

I won't be harassed into using this company - non stop adverts all over the web - it's back fired.

Yes, to both of those Renton

Mind games

...mind you , I do dislike her ....or as much as you can actually dislike someone you don’t know

 . . . there you go

I don’t actually read the gossip Renton....I took a  dislike to her when I saw her interviewed

All the waffle, repeating what has already happened, did like homes under the hammer but take all the repeated bits out and the programme would be halved

Yes, there is far too much padding and reiterating of information we have had literally 5 minutes previous. Now I appreciate there will be those who need this, but for the vast majority of people, we don't need endless recaps.

Arla Lacto Free - They use a Scandinavian sounding voice in the AD. I think it is because there is an association by some people that the Scandinavians are generally healthier people, living a healthier lifestyle and that by using the voice we associate Arla Lacto Free with a healthier choice.

...or I could be completely wrong.

"Arla Foods is an international cooperative based in Viby, Denmark, and the largest producer of dairy products in Scandinavia."

My first post went missing, so I'll try again......

But but, how would we pad the programme out

Deliveroo - This company are 'enablers'. They are making it as easy as possible for people to eat unhealthy foods. It's quite clear, we are not a nation that can exercise self control. You only have to look at the market value of these types of companies. It's clear they are shifting a hell of a lot of fast food.

I agree EC

Ice Cream companies that tell me, by purchasing their product and eating it, a world of infinite possibilities open up for me.

OK, fine, if I accept what you are saying is true, tell me 60,000 possibilities. That is a lot less than infinite, so should be doable.

That's marketing for you - silly 'promises' cos they've ran out of ideas about ice cream.

Why is Sergey meerkat a Russian? Meerkats aren't from Russia

Toucans and Guinness!!

Why is a chocolate bar called a penguin?

And VW Golf … Polo - silly names meaning nothing but good cars

No

I'm not a big fan of marketing though i'm sure someone can show me how people can be swayed by it.

So long as the product is good - it will sell

Amazon sending me emails recommending pulp romances when I've never bought any such books in that genre (honestly)

After her divorce from her adulterous husband Clare wanted a strong man who would not be put off by her fondness for her pet dog, Buster, and one she could rely on.  She found a rugged, ripped, handsome caring and loving sensitive fireman Griff with a passion for golden retrievers who seemed her perfect match, but her closest friend warned her he had dark secrets.

Yeah, that's the sort book a male sci-fi lefty, nerdy would want to read.

Forgot to mention that Clare's beau Griff, also volunteers in dog shelters and has a long term ambition to be a vet.  He's also estranged from his multi billionaire father who wants to bring him into the real estate business which is about to foreclose on an dog care charity.  Will Griff take a partnership with his father or help Clare convince his old man to care about the true worthwhile things in life?

Griff was a one night stand, love em and leave em type in his teens and twenties.  But Clare's changed all that.  This is true love for him and he doesn't want to lose her.

Right now, I'm watching a programme called "The Customer is Always Right", where members of the public try out new inventions and ideas and score them.

What really annoys me is this insistence by the people bringing their products, to price them (in this show) Β£49.99, Β£59.99 and I missed the last one.

STOP with this .99p obsession. We, the public are not stupid, we round up. There should be a national campaign to do away with this silly practice.
